Like - John Wayne was my hero as a kid - always doing the right thing, and always winning the good fight. There have been some fairly decent cowboy movies in the last years - Silverado and Tombstone, for example.

Ooo Luciann - have you read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? I really liked those books. Nice lessons in history, with a good story line.

Bookwyrm--I think i have read that one, isn't it a trilogy? if it is the one i am thinking of, I really like Julie Garwood (Saving Grace, Gentle Warrior, Ransom etc)
