Hes a pop culture icon. Theres a very slim chance he'll be convicted.

I think that he will be charged but not convicted. Hell look at Martha Stewart! Was that jail?

What Martha Stewart did (and I BELIEVE she did it) pales in comparison (unfortunately) to what Michael Jackson is accused of. This is a very sick, twisted individual. There is something WRONG here, people - take "his children" away from him before he does them any more emotional damage. THEN lock him up for what I'm sure he will be accused of doing.

I agree Mrsd I believe that mj did actually do this. But why?? I guess it's something we probably won't find out

do you really WANT to know why he would do something like this? i know i don't.

as an aside does anyone watch the re-enactment of the trial?? man is that some funny stuff

No because it's annoying. I don't want to know but it would help me udnerstand i suppose.

let's start spouting psycho-babble lol. i got 2:1 odds he did it because of his insane, ridiculous amount of celebrity. he can't be with anyone that knew him as part of the jackson 5, or as a solo artist. so that limits his potential mates to anyone born after like 1990 lol. he can't go outside, have you seen the mobs where ever he goes?? it's insane. he can't step foot anywhere without like 10,000 people following his every move. all that attention has got to mess you up in the head.

Good point....but you shouldn't become famous in the first place I know I wont

it's not his fault that he became THE pop music icon of a generation and that an entire planet fell in love with him. i doubt he wants to have to put his kids heads under towels when they go out so that they won't have their pictures taken so that they can lead normal lives (in theory) eventually. but the fact is that it happened to him and it must have messed him up. he underwent all that surgery to "fix" his nose 'cuz it was too big or something. now he doesn't look human. he musta got that idea from somewhere, or that's how he ended up coping with his celebrity, trying to become "perfect". he has (or had) more money than he could shake a stick at. everybody on the planet loved him, but i doubt that anyone could say 2 words to him that weren't "OH MY GOD!! MICHAEL MICHAEL!" only kids would be out of it enough to not care who he was. i can see why he would want them around for that aspect. but there are more appropriate ways to have kids around, and obviously molesting them is bad.

True very true but still he brought it upon himself in my opinion.

I dont know if Micheal Jackson molestered little children, but Im pretty sure he did, so Im gonna say yes.

The guy's a nut case - he always was! I can't wait to see the outcome of this trial....

I've had about enough of this freak show. Poor Michael emerged from the courthouse today "totally exhausted and drained" from his day as defendant. He showed signs of stress and weakness. Good - someone shoot him now before he regains his strength and strikes out at another child.

If Michael Jackson loves all children in general then why does he only sleep with little boys?

The jury is still deliberating but you would know that if you turned to ANY news channel!

Thank you for the information, Cyborg. I spend very little time affixed to a television, so pardon me for my ignorance. As always, you are right there to point out one's frailties.

IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE

No matter the outcome I am already sorely disapointed in the american mind set. They are quick to judge (by physical appearances especially) and we have gone from innocent until proven guilty to "If the media deems the accused guilty then THEY ARE". Wow...amazing. One, entire nation utterly defensless to their television sets. To the morsels of misinformation. Soaking up every bit of fear the media can pump into our already closed minds. A lovley paradox no?

I do not believe his career is over. Certainly if he is convicted many people would be satisfied because trash press does the real deal. If innocence is cast upon him then I will expect another great album. His History CD was made up of songs almost entirely stemming from the 1993 accusations. He even sang a song about Tom Sneddon (The District Attorney in both 1993 and this current case). He wrote Scream (Duet with sister Janet) which was amazing. The whole 2 disc History album was amazing. His invincible album released a few years ago did well. Nothing like the 60 million copies of Thriller...but 6 million in just a few years isnt bad for someone who "hasnt released a decent song in ten years", -(ANd PEOPLE THINK, That was the 80`s there is no way for any band nowadays to dream of selling that much records... The 90`s came with a lot of things, one of them is INTERNET, everybody download pirate music and the economy in a lot of countries is very bad to buy a record from any artist, they prefer a plate of food... Probably you don`t care about that either.)-
MICHAEL even released a song on this album pertaining to how people view him..a "Monster". One of his songs addresses the media, including Lady Diana's death.(They were good friends). Great songs that are demonstrative of his talent. So I think he is doing well enough.
I have read the transcripts of testimony, I have followed this case since the day of the raid on his ranch. To argue his innocence would only waste thousands of words already said. As I said: I only hope for justice. Although if america wants a monster...they will make one out of anyone they wish...which I believe the world has seen, unfortunatly, too many times in the recent years.

I really hope one day the human race will stop Judging others, without knowing anything but what they hear in the tv, stop discriminating by looks, stop fighting for ****, stop looking in others something that may distract others to look ourselves... That is what it`s all about, instead of looking the man in the mirror we are so afraid to face we decide to take a shot at the first thing we see, so we don`t "mess" with ourselves.
Take a look at yourselves to see if you are perfect to judge others, or stop feeding your mind for a while... stop thinking and use your heart. YOu WILL GET A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN YOUR EXISTENCE.
THe mind is the only thing never stops Judging... Make it stop for a while...
IS UP TO YOU,

Great first post, filantro. I must say that yours is the first argument I've heard in DEFENSE of Michael Jackson. Good to hear it, even though from everything I've read and heard I'm afraid I think I'd vote the man guilty. You are right on so many levels here - many people think MJ is guilty soley by the way he looks, acts or speaks. That has no bearing in my thoughts. I'd LOVE to see Michael Jackson's career continue - he is a true artist and one of the best performers to grace a stage. What a shame he has taken such a sabatical. I do not think he will be convicted soley by his fame and status - I have to say I think this man is not well, and should not be raising three children. In fact, I think he should not be allowed near children at all. My beliefs have NOTHING to do with his appearance or the different lifestyle he maintains.

I am not disagreeing with you Filantro, and welcome by the way, HOWEVER, when you get on Television and say that it is acceptable for grown men to sleep with children (not their own), can you not really be blamed for bringing this upon yourself?

Innocent until proved guilty. I have not seen the trial, and I have not read the evidence. Do I think he is guilty? Yes, I do. Do I also think some of the parents who send their children to him shoulder some of the blame? Yes I do. All of this does not erase the fact that the guy obviously needs mental help.
