I really hate Carlos Mencia. The acclaimed Mexican comedian who is racist to everybody. He's actually half Honduran, half German. The only reason he became famous was because he was faking being a Mexican, but didn't have a good name so a radio show host came up with the alias, Carlos Mencia, which gave Holness the career he has now.

Mitch Hedberg(RIP) and Nick Swardson are my famous comedians.
 
Carlos Mencia was born Ned Holness on October 22nd 1967 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. His mother, Magdelena Mencia, from Mexico & his father, Roberto Holness, from Honduras came to America when Carlos was about 3-7 months old and decided to give Carlos to his aunt and uncle Consuelo and Pablo Mencia who lived next door to raise as their own because they weren't able to have children of their own plus his birth-parents small house was so packed already because his mother had so many children... They renamed him Carlos.

i don't see any german there, nor did he change his name for popularity's sake.

i saw a stand-up show he did on comedy central's latenight no-bleeping thing, and it was awesome. he gets a little preachy, but i like the idea behind his whole theory - no one is spared, and why should they be? everyone wants to be equal, so he'll dish it out equally. along south park's lines, when you pick one group you won't make fun of, that's where bigotry starts.

his skits on his show aren't as good as chappelle's, and i look forward to his monologues more than the skits, whereas chappelle was the other way around. anyway, quality dude imho.
 
He's ok, I dont despise him, but just ok to me. I currently like Dane Cook, Jim Florentine, and few others I cant think of at the moment.

I loved Mitch Hedberg too.
 
mencia cracks me up, but sometimes he seems a little spastic. i prefer dane cook. he is one funny guy!

i think the big thing about mencia is that he takes issues, points them out, has a good laugh over them...and thats it. he kind of reminds me of a hyper verion of dave chapelle. i think that one should have an open mind if they are going to watch dave and carlos.
