i'm looking for a song by the scorpions, i believe. it's a fairly slow song, along the same lines as "white dove", but towards the end there's some whistling of the melody. it's bothering me, what song is it?

That's the only one I knew from them...how is the rest of their music?
Decent for 80's european metal.
They had a few really good hits back in the day, like "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and "No One Like You". There are a couple of other good tracks from over the years, like "Still Loving You" and maybe "Tease Me Please Me". "Wind Of Change" was their last real hit, although "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and "No One Like You" are arguably their biggest hits, and 80's metal staples.
I got a 2-disc set of their greatest hits a couple of years ago, but in all honestly, there were only maybe 7 worthwhile tracks on the whole thing. Better to download the good stuff then to buy any of their compilations.
Their biggest claim to fame is they're probably the most popular metal band to ever come out of Germany. :lol:

while i was looking for "wind of change" i found "white dove" and "under the same sun," which are similar in mood and sound, and are both pretty good... but yeah, "rock you like a hurricane" is probably their best track.

I know you're joking, but Rammstein is nowhere close to metal. They're pure electronic/industrial. If most Germans consider Rammstein "metal", it just goes to show that they don't know what metal is.
Then again, I really doubt that most Germans consider Rammstein "metal".

yes yes, if anyone were to call rammstein "metal" they'd have to tack a word in front of it.... "industrial" or "heavy" comes to mind
