The man responsible for the kidnapping and raping of three women in Ohio could possibly face the death penalty for his crimes; he also faces charges for murder based on evidence that he physically abused and starved one of the victims to induce miscarriages after impregnating her.
What do you think? Is the death penalty justified in this case? Do you think it would be wrong to execute him?
Personally, I very rarely condone the death penalty, but in this scenario I think it's warranted to an extent. This man has ruined the lives of three women, causing them much pain and distress to both themselves and their families, and has also committed other monstrous acts. What right does he have to live when his appreciation and respect for others and their lives is completely irrelevant to him? On the other hand, isn't execution the easy way out? Should he be made to live with the knowledge of what he's done?
