What's new

OK, so I'm very Irish...

And here I thought this was gonna be another thread about drinking. :giggles:

(I can say that since I'm part Irish & I live in a predominantly Irish town. The only businesses that consistantly survive in my town are bars. :surrender:)

I am sad... this year it has been requested no corned beef and cabbage... :pout: I am apparently the only one who like it... :cry1:

I'm Irish and Greek and my B-day is on the 17th! I have grown up with EVERY cake being green with a shamrock on it! It got old real quick :psi:!!

Surely there must be an Irish bar near you that will feature the feast on 03/17...

I only do Corned Beef once a year. We are not big on it either in my house... NO cabbage though. No no no no no!

See, how can I be Irish?

Maybe it was the trauma of my childhood? Hmmm

My mom would send us to school (elmentary school no less) wearing buttons that said...

Horny little leprechaun
I'm wearing green under wear
Kiss me I'm Irish...

Green garders... You know...

As you can imagine... the little boys had a field day with it!

The principal would have us remove them when they became too distracting!

SIL is a Christams baby... She never had a cake. It was always pie. Her gifts were always in Christmas paper...

For her 30th... I got her a Barbie cake & wrapped her presents in the Disney princess paper. She cried.

Pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, green clovers, blue diamonds....AND purple horseshoes!

:surrender::surrender::surrender: Only once a year? I'm stocking up on corned beef at 99¢, even left room in the freezer despite the crazy Jewel/Shaws deals. Love corned beef & cabbage <drool>

You'd think in an Irish town I could get a good deal on corned beef but the lowest I've seen is $1.49/lb at Stop & Shop. A&P has it lower but you have to spend $50 to get that price.
