:lol: Robert Crown! Too funny. I had to threaten my kids with being grounded to get them to willingly (ok, under duress) go to that field trip. Heh heh, I remember going on tghat field trip as a kid. :snort:

Yeah I know. DD12 went. We didn't have Robert Crown when I was in 5th grade...but my sisters went.
DD10 said "can't you just teach it to me?"
I said "yes, but you still have to go"
She's mad at me. She said she's going to be sick that day. I told her that was dumb to tell me cuz she's getting on that bus!!!

I'm gonna guess that it's because it was at school.
If an 18 yo student at your school did something that they were going to be suspended for, wouldn't there still be a call to the parents?
DH and I were talking about that last nite we figured becouse it was on school grounds and becouse he was being suspended

I always start calls home with, "Your child is at school safe."
Then I'd nail them with "but she called me a ****."

I am so nervous abot the meeting tomorrow.............they cold let him go back, expell him indefinatly or just suspend him for a while.......however the young 'lady' in question was 'in a relationship' with a new boy Friday night, I annoyed with my son becouse he doesnt realize or doesnt care that hes been used and he hurt the little girl that he had been dating and was trying to get back with but doesnt seem to get it
In the district I work in 18 does not make them adults. If they registered for Senior year as 18 and their own guardian than fine, however, if your parent registered them at the beginning year than parents are called for all discipline.
She had a bad day! If this is what she does after a bad biology quiz, what the heck is she going to do after a bad day as an adult?

ok we had a choice we could take 9 weeks alternative school or suspension for the rest of the semester 8 days including yesterday and today.....so we took the suspension, he will be able to make up ALL his exams and work from his academic classes but for his 'work' program classes he loses 2 points a day off his final grade however sense he has all A's for the 9 weeks and all A's for last 9 weeks he should average out ok and pass all his classes for graduation. the only reason he didnt get worse is becouse he had never even had a disapline report
