Who else is excited for this fight? I just hope it is not as bad as the lesnar vs overeem match. This fight is a long time away and it will take place on May 26. Overeem is a great striker but Santos is no slouch either.

Amazing match-up for sure. Dos Santos has the best pure boxing in the UFC heavyweight division in my opinion, but Overeem is the best kick boxer out of arguably any heavyweight in the world. Both know what they are doing on the ground as well. I am expecting a war on May 26th.

Yeah I can't wait for this fight. Overeem is one of my favorite fighters, and the heavyweight division always has the most exciting fights.

This fight is going to be ridiculous. I haven't gotten a chance to watch too much of Dos Santos though (especially with his 5 second knock out last fight).

I'm really excited for the Jon Jones fight coming up too.

This fight is certainly not ending in a decision, hopefully Overeem will be able to pull off the win but I find it difficult to root against JDS and he could very likely test Overeem's already suspect chin. This will be interesting...

Either way this fight couldn't be a let down in my eyes. I think its a great match up and can't wait to see what happens.

If JDS wins it is going to be an amazing victory for him judging by Overeem's past and recent accomplishments in the fighting industry.

But if Overeem wins then its just promoting his steam roll he's been on lately and will grant him an even bigger fan base (is such a thing even possible?).

I think the man with the better chin will take this fight. I think that both of them will get shots in at each other more than once within the first 3 minutes of the fight. And the one with the weaker chin will start to fatigue and eventually get ko'd there or just become sloppy throughout the rest of the fight.

Alistair is known to have a weak chin so I have to give it to JDS. And let's not forget that Alistair Overeem has no heart. Once he gets hit, he starts to give up.

I, for one, am very, very, very exciting about this fight. JDS is touted as one of the best strikers in the division, but Overeem, on paper, is the best striker in the division. As Jim mentioned, it may very well come down to who has the better chin. If Overeem comes in with a great gas tank, I think he takes it. Either way, it's going to be a great fight!

I really think this will be an exciting fight and I def see it hiting the ground only if JDS feels that he is in trouble and wants to take it there, not saying that will happen because Overeem showed great defense against Lesnar. I do believe that in the standup department they are quite offsetting with JDS having the more technical and powerful boxing but Overeem's ability to mix up his strikes with kicks and punches and being able to get the clinch and really work knees makes him a very dangerous opponent. Chin wise I believe that JDS has a somewhat suspect chin but JDS has taken some powerful shots from the likes of Nelson so I think he can take some damage from Overeem.

This is definately a pick-em fight for me as no one is clear cut favorite I believe.

It would be really interesting to see if JDS tries to take it to the ground. I hope he doesn't, but that's a real possibility. I would love to see his ground game. Ubereem is no slouch there either, so that could be interesting too.

Some ground fight would definitely be interesting. I just want to see what a man of Overeem's size would be able to do, and with how much or little effort it would take.

I'm hoping for someone's face to just straight get messed up. I love it when fights get extremely bloody, though it makes the fighter's grapples harder.

Can't say I'd mind that either! Both of them are ugly dudes, so i don't think either of them would be too concerned with getting busted up.

Really looking forward to this fight between 2 very good strikers. JDS probably has the edge goes as he has never been KO'd and is the faster fighter. Reem probably has more power, but will have to find a way to land on JDS, who is very quick and fluid for a Heavyweight. I think it should be a great fight though.

I'm really pumped for this fight. I think someone is going to get knocked out. I'm rooting for Overeem. I think they are the two be heavyweight strikers in the world.

I think the main differences in their striking is that JDS is a boxer while Overeem is a kickboxer who also throws knees. JDS also throws lots of combinations where as Overeem doesn't throw that many shots but they all have full knockout power.

Yeah I don't see this going to a Decision. Someone will likely get caught and finished at some point in the fight. It should be a great fight as long as it lasts.

I'm cheering for Overeem. But I think Dos Santos might have a bit too much for him. He's not Brock Lesnar where he was recovering from some disease and was fairly a shadow of his former self. Dos Santos is on top of his game.

I really cant pick a winner in this match, Overreem is just so big and powerful but I think it JDS can capitalize on Overreem's cardio issues then he might be able to steal the fight away but that means he has to dodge the storm that the Reem is going to bring I think the longer the fight goes on the better JDS chanced of winning are, though It wouldn't be to surprising if JDS just comes in and straight up knocks Overreem out I mean it is MMA anything can happen and JDS's striking is very good. So I'm really at a loss for this fight. Though Toinight is UFC 144 so I hope everyone is excited and watches it :)

No doubt I'll be watching UFC 144 tonight. I love the free prelims, I always watch those. I definitely agree with you that JDS will have an advantage in the later rounds because Overeem's cardio has been suspect. I thought he was going to drop dead at the end of the Werdum fight.
