Poll: Half of fans don't want Bonds to hit 755

Half of baseball fans are rooting against Barry Bonds in his bid to break Hank Aaron's career home run record. That said, it's getting tough to find anyone rooting for the sport at all these days.

Right, I am sure that would be the only difference.

Because the vast majority of the MLB players outted for roid use haven't been white and mostly given a free pass for using them by fans.

but seriously...this issue seems to be, by all accounts, split down racial lines. in all the polls and radio/tv sports talk...whites seem to be vehemently opposed to Bonds getting 756, while non-whites are either ambivalent or supportive of Bonds getting the record.

I haven't seen any results like that, but if that is the case I would guess it is no different than all the white fans sticking up for users like Clemens, McGuire and Giambi.

Personally I hope Bonds breaks the record so the MLB has to choke on it.

Personally, I couldn't possible care less. The only connection I have to Aaron's record is that I watched the games when he hit 715, and when he hit 755.

I seem to remember him bein a black fella too...

And he was HATED and had his life threatened for doing it. It took decades for him to be an "acceptable" home run king and even now his he really a beloved figure in baseball history?

I always liked Hank Aaron. I wanted him to break the record because he was always a class act. That Bonds fella even if he was clean I wouldn't want to see him break the record because he is such a jerk.
