Has anyone had problems with their SB Live making crackling sounds when EAX is enabled? Mine does this and it's very annoying. I've got the lastest drivers (11/99), I think. Could it be conflicting w/my video card or something. I have a 32MB Guillemot GeForce (SDR).
I had the same problem and found a few things that help. 1- try lowering your mixer control for the main volume. 2- in your game menus try knocking down the volume a notch or two. 3- try enabling dma for your cdrom drive. 4- there's an updated patch on creatives site for Pentium 3's. Hope one of these suggestions help
