Root/Jailbreak

Does anyone have have a rooted Android device or a jailbreak iPhone? Did you do it yourself or did you have to get some help from someone and why did you do it?

I've rooted a lot of Android phones and I'm a complete freak when it comes to Android. I own the following devices:

Moto X Play
Nexus 6
Redmi 2 Prime
HTC Desire 816

Never been into iOS myself.

I was considering jailbreaking my iPhone for a game, but it was only for a girl so I decided against it.

What is exactly the advantage of jailbreaking iPhone?
