how can you know this and go to bed with him every night and live with him every day, I think shes just as guilty if not more guilty then he she coulda stopped him along time ago
I think that this was the second case. The first involved his wife as far as I remember or at least I thought. Can't keep things straight in this head of mine lately. Anyway, still sad.

You guys are right - the boy taped the wife admitting she knew what was going on in the second case at Syracuse - sick sick sick.
I just watched this am's recap of Sandusky's new charges - one of the new victims describes calling for help in the basement of his house when he KNEW the wife was upstairs but no one came down.
So maybe it's a pattern with the wives knowing? They're has to be so many weird signs even if you don't see it exactly.

I told my DH about this tape this am and he said when he heard the recording he thought he heard something differently but, I knew I heard in the interview that he knew
I fear this is only the beginning of people to come forward about this sick **** Sandusky! OBVIOUSLY it wasnt a one time thing and he mentored boys and had foster boys in his house for years and years and years. I have a feeling this is going to get much worse before its over
I saw on the news yesterday that the whatever county NY DA can't bring charges against Fine from Syracuse because the statute has run on his crimes. The DA did say that he felt the accusations were founded so the civil suit should be enormous. It could quite literally bankrupt the college.
I was appalled when the Sandusky thing came out. Flabbergasted when the Syracuse thing followed. It makes me wonder how prevalent this may have been at other colleges. If this is a pedophile M.O. It casts a pall on any youth programs connected to colleges. We were going to send baby to a week-long overnight soccer camp at NIU this summer, now I think we will just have to do the day camp/sleep at home again this year. I don't feel comfortable leaving him overnight anywhere. It's awful.

Women ignore their own natural children being molested in their homes, this isn't that much of a stretch.

They should amend all laws regarding any statute of limitations on crimes against children, removing ALL time limits. Have seen this repeatedly where some sick **** escapes punishment because the victims didn't come forward until they were in their 30s, 40s & even older. Just like war crimes, there should be no time limits on hunting down and prosecuting these sick animals, I don't care if they are now in their 90s.
After the explosion of priest abuse cases, nothing surprises me anymore. Any adult male involved in an institution where they have regular repeat contact with children becomes a possible magnet & hiding place for pedophiles when the institution cares more about its reputation than protecting the children it is supposedly helping. IMO, no coicidence that these sick events seem to happen more often in institutions where women are kept out of positions of authority.

Does anyone know what the purpose of putting limitations on a crime is? I don't get why lawmakers would say OK he raped a child but it's been to many years now so lucky him can't get charged. I just don't see the reasoning behind anyone who commited a crime shouldn't have to pay no matter how long it takes to find them.
Statute of limitations were originally started, IIRC, because way back when, witness testimony was the main evidence in trials. After a period of years, memories fade, thereby rendering testimony less powerful, less likely to stand up against cross examination. Can you remember what you were wearing or doing on June 12th, 1982 at 10am?
However, now we can use scientific evidence that was not an option many years ago.
Just as there was never a time limit put on the prosecution of the Nazis or other war criminals because of the absolutely horrific nature of their crimes, the same standard should apply to those who abuse children.
