Okay, so my computer was working fine earlier - nothing wrong with it at all. All of a sudden, it had crashed and after restarting my computer my internet connection had completely disappeared. Apparently I all of a sudden have no network adapter - but I had 'Modem'.
I have looked online for help on my laptop, as my wireless is working fine - but my PC which is connected by an Ethernet cable from my modem hub thing will not even find the connection.
I have even come to the point of restoring my computer to factory settings. Still nothing, but now my device manager no longer contains 'Modem', nothing even related to Network is on there. I found a site which seems to show my problem I have in an image, but it says just powering off by the power plug for 10 or more minutes and going back on should make the 'Network Adapter' driver return to my device management list.
I'm currently waiting for my computer to sort it's life out, but was wondering if anyone here could give me a hand as I do not think a simple turning off will work when a system restore to factory settings won't.
AGH!
