In doing some research of my own regarding piracy, I have come to realize that while SC is offering pirates a chance to "come clean" in Sound Choice's eyes (not mine) with a $6500 payoff, they haven't explained what is being offered to the named venues as a settlement?
Quite an interesting question the more I consider it! Does anyone have any info in this regard?
First I think that SC would have to prove that the venue did not know that the KJ was using illegal material. If the venue served fired the KJ telling SC they did not know he was illegal that might settle the problem or maybe them becoming a member of KIAA would do it.
If the venue knew and allow it then I'm sure there is some kind of deal on the table which we may never know unless one of the nabbed KJ's settles with SC ($6500), remains at his venue and tells us.
