The movie was great. I rate it as 4 out of 5. I do not like kids (4 to 8 years old) running and yelling in the theatre while the movie is on.

In the original comic book, Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider. However, in this movie he was bitten by a genetically altered spider.

he also didn't produce webbing and about 100 other things
but i think everything they changed for the movie was a good idea
all turned out great ;)

Normally I would agree with you about screaming kids in the movie. But for some reason when a couple of little kids behind me just realised that the green goblin was actually a human behind the mask, I thought that was priceless.

I liked the movie a lot! I'm not a huge comic fan and nor did I watch too many cartoons of spiderman, but I found this movie very good, and I am looking forward to seeing the second spiderman (which is already being written along with the third).

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. I saw him using his webbing a lot. He used it to move and to try to catch the goblin (amoung others).

In the comic books, Peter invented the webbing and the contraption that shot it from his wrists. It wasn't actually a super power. It does seem rather far-fetched that an high school senior could create a super strong and super sticky substance and and then invent a device to shoot it plus figure out a way to have a seemingly inexhaustable supply of said substance on him at all times. It is somehow easier to accept that the spider bite gave it to him along with all of the other enhancements.

I did love the movie. I had absolutely no complaints about any of it. I was never an avid reader of Spider Man so I don't know everything about the origin story so I'm not aware of what was changes besides the webs and the radioactivity of the spider. (of course they never said it wasn't radioactive.)

i agree w/you totally on this point.

my son talked me into seeing this last night. i wanted to go see star wars again, but he refused. i'm glad he did, because this is the best movie i've seen in a long time :)

it had all the right elements. part of what i liked about it was that the characters genuinely cared about eachother.

the action was non-stop and obviously, we're getting a few sequels :yay:

they could not have picked a better person to play peter parker, imo. tobey mcquire was so right for this part :)
