It's safe to say that I disagree with most of that, as there are some games I wouldn't include, and definite omissions to the list, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

I'd probably include Starcraft and Diablo 2 on a best ever list, simply due to the fact that they're still as popular now as they were when they came out, showing how well they were designed.

I don't think I'd include Deus Ex and SS2 on a best ever list, myself, but that's my opinion. Max Payne's also iffy, but it was a very good game. Good concept and storyline, but practically zero replay value.

My Opinion

It seems to me as though you like 3-D FPS style games. I think you should try some other titles incuding...

Warcraft 3 - Just to see if you like Strategy games, this game has a very involved community and ladder.

Diablo 2 - Just to try an RPG this is a great starter for new RPG gamers as it has a full Skill Tree multiple classes Ladder or Non Ladder and NO Monthly fee

I have to agree with you about half-life and its mods though, especially with steam i think that really helped to enhance my gaming experience with the Half-Life Gaming engine

I know no one is going to agree with my on my views of best PC game(s) ever but meh, o well. Here goes!

Total Annihilation Kingdoms
Shogun Total War
Grim Fandango
Morrowind
Everquest (when it first came out)
Sim City 3000

But really, the best PC game, wasn't even for the PC! It was for the apple II. LODE RUNNER!!!!!

nuh uh, doom kicks ****, and i would also hae to say halflife, farcry, and especially diablo 2
