The Confabulation Thread - Part 2

There's a story behind that -- Do tell. :D
lol..
There was a band that was around about 5 years ago called Loco Macheen, well they got together for a few shows and one was last night in my home town.
It was like a reunion of all my old friends, we had a great time but I've been paying for it all day today.

oh, apparently I dropped my phone or something but I cracked the screen :(
It still works though

I am not sure where I should post this, might give some one a little chuckle, so I thought maybe here.

If Only Life Were Like a ComputerSubmitted by Maynard S. Clark – 28 Jan 2004
If you messed up your life, you could press "Alt, Ctrl, Delete" and start all over!
To get your daily exercise, just click on "run!"
If you needed a break from life, click on "suspend." Hit "any key" to continue life when ready.
To get even with the neighbors, turn up the sound blaster.
To "add/remove" someone in your life, click settings and control panel.
To improve your appearance, just adjust the display settings.
If life gets too noisy, turn off the speakers.
When you lose your car keys, click on "find."
"Help" with the chores is just a click of away.
You wouldn't need auto insurance. You'd use your emergency boot diskette to recover from a crash.
We could click on "send" and the kids would go to bed immediately.
To feel like a new person, click on to "refresh."
Click on "close" to shut up the kids and spouse.
To undo a mistake, click on "back."
Is your wardrobe getting old? Click "update."
If you don't like cleaning the litter box, click on "delete."

Went out for coffee this evening with my new sorta-girlfriend and her friend. This is the 3rd time we all met for coffee. I don't mind taking it slow but yeeesh she's gotta lose the friend tagging along.

Back in the 1980ies, when the Amiga computer had the first consumer OS to provide a user interface style guide and Cancel buttons, and an Undo function in almost every program, I often found myself thinking "Undo! Undo! Undo!" or "Undo." when I made a mistake.

I wish real life had a Ctrl Z sometimes. :D

The other day I was cooking. Frying chicken cutlets and they were about done so I went to cook some frozen green beans. Instead of dropping them in the pot of water I dropped them in the hot oil. Ctrl Z would've been real good in that situation.

Why? It's a prime opportunity to find out how she treats you when someone else is around.

Interestingly, I often forget that Undo is Ctrl-Z on the PC ... often, I try Ctrl-U first -- in the Vim editor, it's "u", and on the Amiga, it used to be Amiga-Q or Amiga-U, but they changed it to Amiga-Z in more recent programs to be PC compatible.

Why? Fried beans aren't bad either. ;)

The first time I figured she'd be more comfortable with her friend there which is cool. Now that she knows I'm not an ax murderer I'd like to spend some time alone with her. Her friend talks the whole time and while she's nice I'm not really trying to get to know her -- You know what I mean?
