The Confabulation Thread - Part 2

I don't think people here realize that all forums do go through a slow stage. All we can do is keep making topics and replying to current ones. Otherwise there's not too much we can do until Kaiser returns.

Tell that to the member who keeps replying to my advert topic with "You need more members/activity!"
 
People understand that forums go through periods of inactivity but the reason why I say Kaizer is needed is because of the way he promoted. He also donates his own finances to AdminBB which helps its growth

I think it's people like that who just want to get their post count up, as stating the obvious won't help because I'm sure the administrators/staff would already be aware of that if that was the case, when that commenting member could just join themselves.

I think AdminBB is paid up for the year last December, so I don't think we will be going anywhere soon, but your right, we do need him to advertise the place again to try and encourage new members in, we also really need an inactive reminder mod to get returning members to return as well.

that would be greatly appreciated :cool: I have some threads to post when I get a spare 5 minutes, things just sometimes get too crazy to post new topics and I just have to skim-read everything & deal with reports, etc.

Agreed. Also when people say that, it makes me wonder whether they've even TRIED running a forum before. Judging by the comments I very much doubt it. People never seem to realize how hard it is to keep a forum up until they try it for themselves.
