The Confabulation Thread - Part 2

I was wrong they don't knock you how they just get ya feeling good but you are still aware of everything that is going on, so it was weird but kind of cool.

**** that. i've heard similar stories from people having different procedures. one of these stories from a friend who recently had a c-section birth. she said that you're completely aware of everything going on around you but you have no control of it, so you just stay there and watch everything happen.
no. ****ing. way. the whole idea erks me. i guess i'm a control freak like that.

i spent some time working as a check-out opperator in my late teens. i remember how weird it was when i canned the "hi, how are you?"-standard bullshit and actually asked with a real voice, "how has YOUR day been?". it's weird how many people actually seem shocked out of their daze. esspecially when you make eye contact with them.
eh, but idk. i have an ability to engage with people if i feel like it.

Well you said you had both ends checked right, I don't think I'd want to be aware of a lower GI. IF I have to get that done they need to use a different drug or just put me all the way out.

Well I can be weird with some of those drugs. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled I went under pretty fast and was completly.

But the local stuff they give you at the dentist when getting a cavity drilled doesn't affect me in the least. He doesn't even bother trying anymore :p I just have to deal with the pain, but then how often does one get a cavity drilled and when you do it doesn't take longer than 20 minutes or so to drill. The earth has been here billions of years so I figure I can take a little pain for what will last only a fraction of a percent of my life span.

Well I had control in the fact I could have grabbed the cable and pulled it out my mouth, the drugs didn't immobilize me or anything. When they took the biopsies, that didn't feel so good, but still we are only talking like 10 minutes for the whole thing.

I think I was more annoyed having to listen to the one nurse talking about how much she loved her Zoo pass for 10 minutes or so

Or them talking about what they had for lunch while I was waiting to go in, when I haven't eaten in like 18 hours

Eh just do what my wife did when she had our son via C-Section...........Puke on the anesthesiologist. :)

I actually got today (sunday) off work and I slept in till 10:30am :D Now I have to go get some get some carry out food and swing by my moms for lunch, she's jealous I'm always meeting my dad for lunch or dinner :p

I also still have to look for a new house, condo or apartment. The house I'm in I sold to my uncle almost a year ago but he hasn't moved out here yet so i never left  He's finally moving here in mid-october so I should probably get out by the first week of the month. I need to get a move on, I didn't realize how little time I have till then. Been working to much.

 so when do you learn what the go is?

They said the tests should be in by the end of next week. I actually hope they do find something or they will want to go in the other end  Not sure I can deal with that.

oh suck it up. :p

wait, do you people say that there? be a man and all that jazz...
you don't ever have days off, how to you expect to move house??

Well I moved a lot of my stuff to a storage place a while ago. I'm actually too lazy to move the remaining stuff or the stuff in storage for that matter so I won't have much to actually move then :p

but getting the time to go look for a place will be tough while we are so busy. With only a month it probably won't be enough time to buy so I'm sure I'll be stuck renting for a while. Which I don't mind. I've owned a few house and condos and it will be a nice change not having to take care/maintain the place.

my name is Newk and i am an alchoholic
I try to be one but always fail :(
