I just wanted to wish Alien and Lysithea a happy vacation. Enjoy it! Everyone here knows how much you both deserve it! Get some sun, relax, have fun, and return safely. Most importantly, say hello to Mr. Mouse himself for me!

the dirty things are funny! and whatever, not like little kids noticed it. weird people that spend all their lives watching movies noticed them. then some people admitted there were some things in em. even knowing about the dirty stuff, most people can't see them. and walt... i don't know if he was a good guy. i never knew him.

BAH I SAY! Disney films are what they are, and so be it. Regardless, the films don’t take away from the Walt Disney World experience! I was there this past New Years and it was one of the best vacations I’ve had in a long time. I’m sorry to sound corny, but Walt Disney World really does provide a “magical” environment that adds to the already kick@$$ rides they have there! So, quiet...all of you!

Yes, but I'm not stating my position on this yet, but let it be known, wether you like or not, Disney Land and World have a Gay Day where you can't get in unless you have a spouse of the same sex.

I believe he's sticking with the whole "Disney is evil and immoral" thing going in this thread. The only real and true problem I have with their gay week or day or whatever is that they don't let the general public know when it's going to be held. (At least, they haven't in the past.) I can understand parents not wanting their three year-olds to be exposed to it. ::shrug:: I, however, enjoy the whole Disney experience. I've been a few too many times (we used to live right outside Orlando), but I still love going with friends when I get the chace.

Well, it's of course every parent's own right to decide what they do and don't want their child to be exposed to, but I wouldn't have any problem with a kid of mine being exposed to gay couples, any more than I would mind them being exposed to straight couples. This assumes that none of them are doing anything that's inappropriate in public, of course. (I'm not a fan of PDA in general, beyond hand holding or smooching. But I do think that what is appropriate for straight couples to do in public, is also appropriate for gay couples to do in public.)
 
Actually, my girlfriend, my daughter, her family, and I are going to none other than Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL.

Disney World was amazing. I thought that it was probably one of the coolest places I have ever been. As for a vacation for me this year . . . If I get to go on one it will probably be just a backpacking trip somewhere (I would love to go to yosemity, but I doubt that will Happen). I dont normaly get to go on vacation.

I'm going to San Fran this May for battlebots, Sweeet.

I went to Disney last summer. I think I may be growing out of it, but it's still cool. A whole week ended up being a little too long, but the new Blizzard Beach was cool. I went during a rainstorm and there was no on there (I guess they may have gotten wet or something). The 120 foot waterslide was intense.

Yay JHowse! I'm so happy for you and somewhat jealous as well. I hope you have a wonderful time, though I have faith you will! While there be sure to ride a) The Tower of Terror b) Aerosmith's Rockin Rollercoaster (I believe that's what it's called) and c) Test Track -- Those were my top three favorites!

Goshzilla, I can't recall a time when I was in Walt Disney World and it was in fact hot enough to try out any type of water park. I've always been there in the dead of winter, and while it's never been freezing, I've always worn a light jacket and pants. Some day...

As for vacation plans, I’ll be heading down to St. Augustine Florida for my family’s annual summer getaway. We rent a condominium for a week or so and spend our days tanning by the pool, reading by the ocean, and getting some well deserved rest and relaxation. At night we go out and enjoy the Florida cuisine and usually reconvene for additional R & R at our temporary home by playing some cards or something small and corny. I love it though, because now that I’m away at college nine months out of the year, I don’t have the opportunity to spend much time with the family, so I enjoy getting a week of nothing but family togetherness. I’m also going on vacation with my best bud and his family, which means another week of fun in the sun, only this time in Murtle Beach, South Carolina. I’m very nervous, because his entire family is going to meet up with us, so I’m meeting cousins, uncles, aunts, and grandparents all at once. No pressure though!

I’ll at least have him there to make things easier on me. I’m looking forward to summer all together and with a week of school left to go, I’m more than a little anxious!
