Being as my beloved kitty is sitting right here by my side (don't let her fool you - SHE CAN READ!!!:mad: ) I'll take in on faith that you were being sarcastic!:rolleyes: I THINK I would trade one animal's life to save another - depends on WHICH animals we're talking about!:smiley_aa

I think the whole probelm is the MONSTER sized squirrels they must have in Long Island - that must be the problem!! I've seen the pics in the Gallery of what they did to his garbage cans!!

I don't think biomedical research is "sick and twisted" at all. I don't think Mattok does either - sounds like a point was trying to be made.

I just hate animals that destroy my property. And for the record, I intentionally purchased a BB Gun that WOULD NOT kill them. I only want to ping'em in the **** and make em sting a little! :smiley_aa

thanks mrs d, i couldent have said it better. i was just trying to say that we have taken the peta-type thing way too far, i mean whats wrong with testing on dogs or cats? or rats hungh? after all as long as the animals are not being mistreated there should be no problem. if ya want to freak out about something how about all the people out there that are starving, or childern that live in abusive homes? there are more imprtant things to worry about in this world.

antother point Mrs D, but look at it this way wouldn't you give up any animal if you knew it could save somebody's life? even your beloved Kitty?
 
Couple of posts to respond to here -

It's true Nightwolf - Nova's all heart. He wouldn't and couldn't hurt a fly. A swift ping in the **** every once in a while does EVERYONE some good!

I dunno, Mattok if I'd let anything happen to my kitty. She's like a child to MrD and me. I'd have to be damned sure that that huge sacrifice would be the absolute and undebatable cure to something. I now that may sound terrible to some, but we're talking about a FAMILY member here, not just a cat.
 
ya! bash political correctness! you should say what you wanna say, how you wanna say it. You shouldn't have to rephrase everything just so you don't offend someone. Some things should be "politically correct" but all others should just be the way they are!!
 
Firstly. Squirrels are cute, fuzzy and lovable... yet great for target practice:evil7:.
Secondly. I dont agree with the notion that a human life is worth more than any other. In my opinion human life is worth less than most other living things, if not all.
 
Well, the human species IS responsible for the horrific things that happen to our environment and the other living things around us; it is however the only species that I can identify myself with, so I'm holding out hope for a cure!:eusa_ange
 
There is a cure for all this madness, the problem is that most people would think it as too drastic.

Animal experiments are extremely cruel, however, I don't believe these experiments will cease to exist. If it wasn't for Banting's experiments on dogs we would not have insulin; if not for Ivan Pavlov, we would not be enlightened by his discovery of the "conditioned reflex". Animal experimentation has help in all areas of medical research.

And for the record, I dont shoot at them... I throw knives.
