The days just kinda run together around here. So I have to check and be sure. Dh told me that he may be home next week. The outage is winding down. I'll be glad when he does get home.

I have a delivery from Staples coming today As a business we get cards in the mail sometimes for money off if the order is high enough and I need ink for two of my printers so I was able to get enough to get free delivery as well as the $30 off. But it had to be a delivery order...okay, so they use THEIR gas not me. LOL

OMG i have NEVER seen so much rain!!!! and of course WIND!!! its been going for atleast 12 hrs solid now.....was amazed that the schools were open this morning...only for them to shut them at 1pm just as i'd finally got dry from the morning school run!!

Dh is on his way home...via the otherside of the island as most of the roads this side are shut

Good morning everyone. Had a good night's sleep last night; Max actually slept all night long on the couch! Had a good visit with mom. She sounds much better. I got 2 more weeks of pills done and the rest of the day was going through papers that were scattered all over the place. She has a neurologist appt. today at 12:30, that was rescheduled from next month, so I just called to wake her up.

Liz, good deal on the ink and free delivery works for me!!! Hope dh gets home safe. I know you missed him!

There's a few pics up right here. Wow. I hope the island stays afloat! And the best to you Julie.

Glad you got some sleep, Carol.

I got some heat in the van yesterday. It was okay running during hot weather with the thermostat stuck open, but not now that it's cold. And the heater core was also plugged from the last flushing. So now it's been flushed, new thermostat installed, and new antifreeze, that will keep it nice and toasty.

Now it's time to get a new flue pipe inside the house for my woodburning stove. I was told by two young men that they would help me this morning, but right now only one is here (and he just got up). I can't complain about free help....well, maybe I can...we need to get this going so we don't get hung up somewhere with the job and it extends over til tomorrow.

I'm still having some rather severe pains with my migraine. Man, the migraine makes my head feel like it will explode (and all the other stuff with it), but my scalp is still hurting along with some shooting pains in my neck and shoulder. I'm thinking that I'm having some rotator cuff problems again and it's even hard to sleep on that shoulder (can't hardly sleep on my back, side-sleeper you know). Maybe it's just that old age creeping up on me, but it ain't creeping; it's attacking!

I'm counting down to my next doctor appointment, which is still a ways off.

well dh is home!!! finally!!!

they have got a couple of photos up now but i suspect there will be some more spectaclar ones yet but if they think i am going out in theis to take photos they are mistaken!!!!

So thats it we are all home and going nowhere except dh and i need to try and rescue the kids slide before it takes off for shetland!!!!!!!!!

oh and its still raining!!!

Dave, I'm sorry you're still hurting. Hope you can get some relief soon. Glad you were able to fix the heat in the van. Now to get your woodburning stove flue fixed. One thing after another, eh? No rest for the weary!

I did my load of sheets and opted to double them up and hung them on the outside 1st floor line rather than chance them wrapping around the upstairs line. Hate it when it does that!

I also took a walk through the attic and listed about 10 items on freecycle. I'm on a ROLL! If it's not nailed down, it's outta here! lol

Carol, I'm of the free thinking... dh left me a stack of stuff he "wanted" HA that pile is much smaller now... all the silly little easy to get things are going... like a stack of file folders... are you kidding????? they are not even new and they are empty...ummm no....

four leather portfolios..ummm no you get to keep the two nice ones the other two go.... and blank vcr tapes... we don't even use those any more.. EVER... buh bye....

I'm smiling right now! :clapping: I still have that terrible migraine, and I'm not the most pleasant person to be with right now, and Monie has his claws in my leg trying to get on my lap, BUT I have the new flue in and a small fire going in the stove! Yeah! My two boys (young men but always my boys) got it all together and put in better than it was before (which was me with little help). Nice!!! I just don't like the smell of new flue piping baking in. The air purifier will take care of that.

I never leave stuff for my Hunni to take care of; I have it because I wanted it for some reason. LoL! Awhile back we went through our VHS tapes. I gave a really large suitcase full of movies to my brother and told him that I never wanted to see them again. There was also some blank tapes in there, too. I kept a few, but most of our movies are now on DVD. I still have a couple of VHS players, though.

I have to take a "walk through the attic" in my whole house and building sometime and get stuff out. Whether out means trash, give away, or sell, it still means out!

Well, sometimes you do end up leaving it to your spouse if the conditions are right. Like dh would have left me to handle the move HAD it happened like it was originally planned. Liz

Yes, you're right. With as many debilitating migraines that I have, I'm thankful for a Hunni that can take care of stuff.

I've been doing some cleaning and I kinda' get rid of more of other people's stuff than I do my own. Though lately, I've been getting rid of alot of my old stuff, too.

OR stuff that he just does NOT want to deal with, LOL.

Example, we had a set of coffee tables that were part of HIS stuff when we got married. The drawers were so full of JUNK...and yet, I couldn't get him to go thru that. After moving it THREE times, I told him and Pam they had ONE week to go thru it or *I* would, and I was RUTHLESS! LOL. It finally got taken care of by ME. Liz

Now don't misunderstand me I don't throw out any truly important treasures... I didn't throw out one old piece of computor stuff that he claimed a desire to keep... I wouldn't do that to him...

but have mercy the crap that this man saves.... like the four empty cd storage bins... they collect dust so he doesn't like them.... OUT they go...

or the three printers in the closet that have been unrepairable for the last 6 years... he did relent to getting rid of those... however I still have three very large laser printers that have to go to TN... one of which is going this trip...

The ink jet up there is getting pricey with the kids and their school work.

Okay I'm off to disassemble this computor... it moves to TN this week.... the kids will be thrilled the one up there is really old... and really slow...
