TSG DVD of the month club?

Well yes that would make it really simple but a thumbs up doesnt really spark any kind of discussion :lol:

What I meant was have a set of questions that can be used for any movie. So thoughts can be uniform and then be 'talked out in the group'

I think that might be a little stiff. Everybody's not going to see or approach the films in the same way. So making them all give their thoughts the same way kind of kills some of thier personal opinion about it.

Thumbs up and down is too broad perhaps, but some movies won't merit talking about the same things as others either.

But I just thought that people could give their own answers to common questions which I also dont think would ruin their personal opinion at all but thats just me.

I was thinking along the lines of something like this...

I think that's a good idea so long as people don't have to feel the need to fill in every option if they don't want to.
Use that as a basis with people free to decide how much they want to answer and expand on their ideas of the film.
 
Is Million Dollar Baby definitely our first film to review?
I may give it a watch again tonight if so.

Maybe it's just me, but having it be so detailed and uniform makes it seem more like each person is writing a review for it. And I was kind of just looking for a regular discussion thread just with a specific topic. And I think most of those topics will come up in the discussion on it's own really since we have a lot of film buffs in the mix. But maybe i am wrong.

Nope, and this isn't something that's going to start immediately. We want to give everyone a chance to chime in and have time to prepare to watch whatever we agree upon. It was just the first film mentioned.

:lol: No matter what the movie we pick is I am sure it will be towards the end of the month before it has to be watched I am guessing.

By the time we conclude the review we'll have to jump right into Naughty Nurses 320 if we use the common sequel:timespan of pron movies as a reference.
 
Remember, anybody wanting to take part chime in with your thoughts on how you think the discussion and ratings should go as well as movies you'd like to see us use for the group. :)
 
i think it should atleast include some kind of rating, such as the 5 star ratings, plus give what you liked , what you disliked , what you would like if you liked this film

i like kevin's format idea., but the majority of the things might be overkill since everyone will be watching the same movie, so not sure if type, length, actor's , etc. are necessary
 
I watched "White Noise" last night and it scared the Bleep outta me. Don't do it! Say no to getting the bleep scared outta ya!

okey last movie i watched was the pacifier
-my sis rented it-
it was funny Ill give you that.
but I think I saw the same tematic Somewhere..... but man Ninjas, Nazies and traitors, you dont see that everyday in a movie

next dvd movies I am buying
-ten things I hate about you(reminds me of junior high....seriusly)
-Godzilla(despite what people think because i havenever sen another godzilla this one is good for me)
-batman return of the joker unrated(I just love this series)
-American pie.(I like it made me laugh)

not any current ,

btw is closer out? I wanna see it.

Get the Japanese Godzilla's. Don't bother with the ****ty Matthew Broderick one.

:lol: I'm not sure we need this to turn into a thread about all the movies we all have or want to see. :D

But yes Closer is out I think.

And I am not a big fan of Batman Beyond but I did really like that movie.
