He was to drink....no hunt? He arched an eyebrow at Anais, and she seemed not to notice. Was he being tested? He shrugged. He doubted it. Nevertheless, it felt strange to drink from someone so...willing.
It did feel good, though. He had not had a good drink since he 'woke'. He stopped himself before taking too much, though. He also had to consider that he was to share with Anais.
It felt like som ritual...Himself and the female vampire, and Pomme, this 'doll' of a girl..
At least, he thought, he would not get bored very easily in this age, he thought darkly.
He motioned that he was finished, and took a chair of his own to observe Anais feed...
It was good, that this one was so willing to share in such a normal part in modern society. Perhaps there was hope for him...and the young one. The others...well...it did not matter now as she lowered her face to Pomme's neck and drank. The redhead cuddled against her, and she smiled. After a moment, she broke away, daintily licking the excess blood off her fangs. Sweet as her nickname, dear apple-cheeked girl. The holes were gone with another lick to the neck, and she carefully settled the girl back at the table.
(fr)"She will sleep it off, and have only pleasant dreams to show. There's something terribly sweet about virginal blood, no? This little one enjoys the kiss so much she refuses the suitors who have courted her...preferring our kind."
She took her former seat (facing Wilhelm) and smiled. "Now, why don't you tell me how you came to be in Marsailles the first time, and perhaps of your sire? Then I shall do you the same courtesy...if you wish it."
It had been so long since his last real feeding, that Wilhelm had not noticed the difference in taste... now that he thought of it, it had indeed been... most pleasant.
He threw a last glance at that 'Pomme' girl, then turned to Anaïs, running his hand throuh his long, light orange hair.
"(Fr.) Well," he chuckled, "where to begin? I had no idea what I was getting into when I decided it was time to leave the family estate and make my way to Paris... even though I never made it. Karl, an old aquaintance...well..ancient now, I suppose," he added a light laugh, "suggested we head south for Marseilles first, as I had been formally invited to a ball..."
He went on to tell her about the ball and what happened, sticking to the point and leaving out unnecessary detail. He held a soft smile while speaking, knowing that the French he knew would always prefer adding fluff to whatever nonesense they spewed out of their mouthes. So unpractical...
He went on talking a bit about Rowan, his sire, and how he became a Vampire, but stopped at that, claiming: "(Fr.) I doubt you would find my time spent learning the 'life' would interest you, since you probably know what it is like..."
Pausing for a moment, he sat back and made himself look more at ease.
"(Fr.) Now, ma chère, I would love to hear of your story... I will do my best to understand any reference to modern progress," he added with a wink.
(fr) "Your Rowan sounds a most interesting type of sire." Anaïs smiled winningly at him.
"As for my story...I'm afraid there is not much modern about it. A daughter of the soil goes to college, and falls in with the wrong crowd. Leaving me here, six years dead and forever 20."
"My sire, Olivier, is a well-known actor in the Parisian theatres, and quite thorough in his training on and off the floorboards. Also quite particular as to his business dealings...which is why I ended up waking you and your companions."
She stopped, and looked around quickly, before leaning close and whispering the rest hurriedly. (en)"I must be honest, Wilhelm, your sire is not well liked...is being hunted, truth be told, and I do fear for what will happen to you and the others, being his progeny. This, however, is not a safe place to discuss such matters."
Sitting up, she continued in a light tone, (fr)"But enough of history, handsome one. It has such boring repercussions, no? Would you care to watch a movie with me? It is...a play, kept in a box."
Wilhelm believed he understood most of what she had whispered in English...he believed she told him that they should speak later...where was Daithi when you needed him? In any case, he would have to make a point to improve it, and preferably soon.
He was slightly taken aback at Anaïs' offer to go watch a play, but not so much of how she described it (he was a fast adapter, he was getting used to seeing things he thought impossible), rather at the forwardness the woman showed. Surely it had to do with the age, since only harlots would have talked like that in his time. He let it slide, and grinned. He loved plays.
"(It) Let's take a look around, we might as well learn some about this new time. I've already been flabbergasted enough that I think I could handle anything that we may find." Dante stood up and offered out his hand to Elizabeth to help her up.
OOC: i think we should randomly walk around and bump into wilhelm and anais getting all cozy lol.
ic: Elizabeth took hold of dante's hand and they walked round the few rooms, finding them all empty. Many with as before funny contraptions in them. Maybe she would learn of them later. But as they stopped into another room they saw both Wilhelm and Anais together...
Elizabeth still feeling rather giddy and childish said
(OOC - I'm thinking "Goldfinger." And Nighty....nothing going on here...nope, nope, nope...:eusa_ange )
IC: She had just taken Wilhelm's hand once more when Elizabeth & Dante walked into the kitchen. She smiled at the young one's question and responded in kind, slowly letting go of the German's hand.
(fr) "Nothing you are not more than welcome to join in on. We were just about to go see a play of sorts. Would the two of you care to come with us? Or did you have a more serious matter on your minds?"
OOC: Hehehe, great story progression, guys!
IC:
Wilhelm chuckled cheerfully at Elizabeth's comment. Had he been more familliar with her (like Dante seemd to be), he would have ruffled up her hair.
"(Fr.) Please, do join us! The more the merrier! Aren't you curious to see how 'plays' are made now?"
Daithi wandered around the house humming, trying to find a library...everytime he came to a new room, he would name it and move on...
'parlor....watercloset...kitchen with sleeping girl, hmm....well, shouldn't touch stuff that isn't mine, not polite....maybe when she wakes up...another parlor with everyone else and a large black box...' Daithi stopped, switched his brain to english and walked into the room with the strange black box that everyone seemed to be facing.
"(en.) Hello lads and lasses," Daithi said in a friendly tone, unsure if he was intruding on something. Anais was standing by some shelves, looking at the spines of what seemed to be very thin books. "I was trying to find the library. What are you folks up to?"
(en) "The library's two doors down...on the left." Anaïs located the DVD she wanted and slid it out of it's casing.
"Our host has a most exquisite collection of books. Enough to make the Prince jealous. As far as ourselves, we were about to watch a...play of sorts. More rightly called a movie. Would you care to join us? It's about a spy. British, I'm afraid, but there's no helping that."
She popped open the DVD player and set up the TV (a lovely 60" job), motioning to one of the empty chairs, and allowing herself a moment's amusement when the screen flickered to life, startling her companions.
Grabbing the remote, she dropped herself onto Wilhelm's lap and pressed "play," remembering to switch the language into French and leaving the subtitles in English for Daithi (should he be staying).
Daithi shook is head as Anais sat in Wilhelms lap. Sure, the one lass who speaks english, and Wilhelm gets her. Just his luck, like always. She certainly was a forward girl though, Daithi didn't quite know what to make of it. If all girls in this age were like her...well, he couldn't decide if that was to his advantage or his disadvantage.
Before he could ponder on it further, the black box suddenly became very bright and had little people walking around inside of it, in little rooms and on little streets...
Daithi quickily forgot about his search for the library, and became engrossed in all the little things in the black box...and this James Bond person...was this what the english were like today? Daithi almost laughed.
Dante was astounded when he saw Anais' hand slip from Wilhelm's in the kitchen, dumbfounded was more like it. At the mention of some sort of play, all Dante could muster was a nodding motion and blindly followed into some other room. He sat on one of the many chairs and just marvelled at everything in the room. The "movie" started and Dante couldn't help himself. He got up and looked behind the whatever was playing it. Knocked on it. "How? ..." and he sort of trailed off captivated by the actions on the screen. He went back to his seat and watched intently as explosions erupted everywhere.
Eyes widening, Wilhelm tried to keep calm and act natural. He never expected her to be THIS forward! Forcing a smile, which probably looked nervous, he helped Anaïs sit more comfortably. David seemed to be making an effort not to say a word to him...odd, they were always the best of friends.
Through all this, Wilhelm missed the beginning of the movie and only later was able to focus on it; just when an 'opponent' got shot by a tiny gun and flew over a stack of crates.
"(Eng.) ..I suppose...that's what *I* looked like!" he attempted to joke...didn't seem to go over well, though...maybe his English was worse than he thought?
He cleared his throat and decided to watch the rest of this 'movie' in silence. He had to admit, it was pretty fascinating...and the words flashing at the bottom of the screen...who could translate and write that fast??? Where was the orchestra? He supposed it was similar to the music they had heard in the SUV.
It was quite engaging; much more than any play he had ever seen! All those fires must be dangerous!
He had a hard time understanding the tools this Bond used to fulfill his mission, but it didn't detract too much from the fun. A quick glance at the 'movie' library, at the funny tools in the play, and the woman on his lap, and Wilhelm msiled, knowing that for one thing, he would not find this age boring whatsoever.
Elizabeth sat down next to Dante, she seemed to think of him of that older brother she ahd always needed...well that's what she thought...
She smirked, Wilhelm seemed alittle nervous at Anais beign so forward. She stifled a laugh. She was starting tor eally lvoe this new centruy and the women seemed to be able to do what theyw anted without getting any consequences.
The'play' was brilliant, Elizabeth sat facinated, trying to grasp the instruments 'bond' used. She looked at Dante to see his reaction to find him lost in the 'play' before them.
Anaïs smiled inwardly. Thus far the "wonders" of this new world were doing their bit to keep her companions entertained, and the movie would give her time to think. If she led these to the prince, they would be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter. And she'd grown rather fond of them. Well...some of them. But if she did not, her plans to leave Europe would have to be pushed forward six months and add five more people to them.
Her sire would likely be the first to encourage the bloodhunt, though she might be able to find a few friends to help her escape. There was that weirdling guy she'd met in college...what was his name....he claimed to be a mage of sorts, though that might have just been the pot talking. Perhaps he could get them out of here.
As the movie drew to a climax, she snuggled closer onto Wilhelm's lap and caught Elizabeth looking at her. She winked at the girl and turned her eyes to the screen. There were still hours to go until morning...if they wished another movie, perhaps she might borrow Pomme's copy of Matrix...
There was that weirdling guy she'd met in college...what was his name....he claimed to be a mage of sorts, though that might have just been the pot talking. Perhaps he could get them out of here.
Pot smoking mage aye? Should we really introduce them to Chris and Poncho? Somone might get hurt. Or screwed. Probably both. Ok Im gonna write now, Ill have the next scene up soon. HOWEVER! Befor I can I need choice out of Anais. Is she taking them to see the Price? Or is she skipping that part. Come now the young lady should meet him. She would be O so surprised!
