War

Needless to say that wars are a brutal act of hatred towards other people, but do you think that sometimes they can be justified? Do you think that war is truly the best option to defend one's country?

Do you believe that we will ever give up on war?

war is never justified. war is a way of saying: i hold the power so you either surrender or you are killed.

I hate to say it but with the way we are able to cure most illnesses it is becoming the only way to keep the globe population down that's y there will never be world peace because if the were peace in a few years time there will be no room an no rainforest

I just think that war is wrong and unneeded and that nobody should ever begin war, ever and that we shouldn't participate in them. However, people like Hitler are out there and gaining power and if its the only way then it's the only way. I'm heavily against it though.
Honestly, with the nuclear weapons out there now I wouldn't be surprised if when/if we end up in a war we'll just die straight away. Nuke on the UK and we'd just be gone.

War is horrible with so many unnecessary deaths just because leaders disagree with each other, want to take what others have got or want to invade a country - but it's also necessary for a country to be able to defend itself from attacks. Technology also advances faster during wars as each side wants to have an advantage on the other. Currently though it's just a nuke stockpiling game where each country is advertising that if you attack them, they'll nuke you; but even then nuking a country would be a bad idea as it would piss off so many countries and probably start a global war.

War sucks, but it's very necessary. Animals are motivated by survival instincts, and survival instincts naturally motivate greed- resources like land and money are things that change hands during war, and I don't ever see that stopping.
As Devin said, war motivates advancement. We wouldn't be where we are today technologically and socially without it.

I don't like war any more than the rest of you, but it's a fact of reality, unfortunately.
