Brookside Glen Subdivision, just 3 blocks from my doorstep a husband has murdered his wife. Lots and lots of police on the scene and have husband in custody. What the hell is going wrong in this world where people think the solution to problems is murder. I don't get it. My initial thought was that this could be my friend and was worried. My dh picks up the phone to call her dh to get the details. My heart goes out to the family. As this area is all kids everwhere I'm pretty sure she was a mother as well as a wife. It's a sad day.

I am praying nothing crazy happens tomorrow but I am scared that some people actual think the end is coming and will want to go out with a bang!

I'll admit that I don't think anything is going to happen tomorrow.

BUT! if i think about it too much, I do get a little bit nervous! Zombies freak me out and that's the worst possible scenario LOL!

HAHAHA! I love the last one!!!!!!!

I enjoy zombie movies, if you're trying to freak me out

I mean the thought of real-life zombies freaks me the **** out!

When I take pics of real-life zombies I'll be sure to post them right away.

Unless they get me first. In that case, sorry I didn't have time to warn you...

:snort:

I'll bet you're especially tasty right now! There's no way you're getting out alive!

They'll go after Abby first. Good luck with that.

BRB, gotta go stock up on swords now and practice my beheading skills.

1. When did you realize that zombies should be feared?

Pretty much the first moment I realized that there were zombies. I don't think anyone becomes aware of walking undead intent on eating your grey matter and suddenly realizes zombies should be snuggled or turned into pets. Or if they do think that they soon realize their mistake.

2. What do you do to protect your house and child?

We have a large collection of swords available because they don't need ammunition. Swords are the key to surviving a sustained zombie apocalypse. Also we have a lot of interior rooms with no windows. This comes in handy for tornadoes as well. Zombies and tornadoes have a surprising amount in common.

3. What are the best fighting techniques in fending of zombies?

I'm a big fan of riot guns for the first wave and then samurai swords for stragglers. But I assume I'll end up shooting myself accidentally and becoming a zombie myself so technically I'm not that concerned.

4. Are there any cures once a person becomes a zombie?

Beheading.

5. Where do you want to be during a zombie apocalypse?

I don't think it really matters where you are since there are going to be dead people everywhere so I guess I'd say Seattle. I've always wanted to see Seattle.

6. Are zombies more frightening than other monsters? If so, why?

Zombies are totally more frightening than other monsters because they're us. No one wants to have to behead your own uncle. Unless he was a real a-hole. Then it might be sort of therapeutic.

7. Do you fear anything more than zombies?

Sure. Giant squid, nuclear war, waking up to find I've gone back in time and have to go through high school again.

You're not that close to me, so I'm sure you and Abby have similar survival rates. I just need to find a way to get her to be quiet if there are zombies in the house and we're hiding in the basement. Don't see much luck with that!

In a true zombie apocalypse, we don't have a chance. Sure, you might be able to hide or outrun them for a little while. But eventually the zombies would outnumber and overpower all of us. I'm scared. :hides:
