What's up for the weekend?

How are you feeling Dee?

We're going to Chicago today. So I need to get my **** off of CW and start getting things ready. We're huge derby fans - so I know dh will be making a stop at OTB! And the Derby and Cinco de Mayo on the same day?!? Lovely!

How about you - any plans?

saturday- village clean up day . Spending 3 hrs on bike trail picking up garbage with my girl scouts.

Sunday- Annual loyalty Day parade. This will be the 9 th yr my kids have marched in this(and other) parades . 9 more years to go. Have I mentioned I hate parades?

Oh yeah , voice recital 30 minutes before parade step off. I love it when I have to be in 2 places at 1 time. Don't you?

Yes, just got off the phone with their scheduler. I agreed to a c-section date if baby doesn't make an appearance independently. I can't believe how sad that makes me - I'm terrified of another traumatic c-section.

My house is 3-bedroom, but somehow everyone and everything ends up in my bedroom. Hence the need to clean up/organize and get it back where it belongs. Then it can start to migrate again. Fortunately all the furniture moving is done, so it is just collect up toys and store tidily, actually put away clothes than throwing them in baskets, that kind of stuff.

Oh I hope you won't have to have a C-section. So are you saying Lex sleeps with you? My 10yo DS still makes his way to our bed every once in a while lol.

Every night I put Lex to bed in his bed. At some point during the night I wake up and inevitably he's in my bed. Not all of the time, but definitely more often than not. I was putting him back in his bed, but I'm not supposed to carry him now, so that's a battle I'll have to take up again when I can carry him again.

I love the days when they (the kids at daycare) can spend the whole day outside. He is so tired that he crashes as soon as his head hits his pillow and he doesn't wander to my bed.

ahhhh, nesting....baby coming soon...yeah!!

Well, if I survive "8th Grade Dance" preparations, we'll be at a softball tournament in Pontiac, IL all weekend. :surrender:

DD13 came home at 12:30. I thought she was exagerating when she said, "Mom! EVERYONE is leaving at 12:30!" but apparently she was right because it took me 30 minutes to sign her out of the sea of parents/children. 3.5 hours to go. So far she has griped about her hair not straightening, her shoes (brand new) having a white dot the size of a pin head on them & what I wore to pick her up. Usually I can hide in the backyard. Not today, she's found me several times.
