What's new

What's up for the weekend?

Yes, just got off the phone with their scheduler. I agreed to a c-section date if baby doesn't make an appearance independently. I can't believe how sad that makes me - I'm terrified of another traumatic c-section.

If it makes you feel better my first csection was really hard, my second was a breeze. Walking up and down the halls at the hospital 24 hours after surgery, without pain. By the time he was 4 days old I was only taking Advil.

We're going to Arlington Racetrack tomorrow. Our broker is having an openhouse at a pavilion there for his birthday and invited us. I'm kind of excited--I've never been to a racetrack before...

Spending the day helping my Dad...and my brother/SIL might show up (probably after all the work is done)

We are going today also! We have been going every year since my baby was a brand new baby!

The boys love it. Last year "their" horse came in as the winner of the derby. They were jumping up and down yelling we won! We won!!

Hope I didn't just jinx us :quiet:

Had a birthday party last night. Then I was supposed to do a garage sale with my friend today and tomorrow but she backed out due to 1) not having the time to clean out her garage and 2) the possibility of showers today and tomorrow.

I am instead using my time to finish up errands for the week and doing laundry and getting ready to head to FL for a short vacation with DH, kids, FIL, and MIL. I just made an appt for a mani/pedi this afternoon (my Mom's Day gift to myself since we'll be out of town for Mother's Day) and I might treat myself to a new pair of sandals as well.

Tomorrow, DS has a bowling outing with the Scouts. And we might have some friends stopping by in the afternoon just to visit for a while. Other than that, not very exciting.

DH's cousin's kids are visiting (from Michigan). Glad they are FINALLY admitting their son is on the spectrum.................poor kid shoulda been getting help years ago.

Signed kid up for camp, went to 2 movies, (avengers and the pirates, band of misfits) hope to catch a play tomorrow. Unfun stuff mixed in like cooking and cleaning.

Went to spend time w/my parents today...Dad's bday is May 9th and did mother's day along w/it since they are busy next weekend...they treated DD and I to dinner and we gave mom a nice canvas of her dad, and our DD together...Dad got movie tickets from us and some cash. They were upset that my DH didn't come w/us...I told them not to let it bother them. But it bothered them anyway...tomorrow errand running for part of the day!

Weekend? What weekend? :giggles:

I have been at the skating rink since Thursday nights dress rehearsal.
A late show Fri, two shows today, and a show tomorrow.
My back is killing me from the cold bleachers, but worth every minute watching DD9 in her first show. :girl:

Same experience here.....First one was really hard, every one got a little easier. By the fourth one, it was like "OK, not too bad!" lol.

Hopefully you'll have a similar experience if baby needs to go that route

OH NO! I missed the DERBY?!?!?! :pout: I was at softball tourney with DD13 ALL DAY yesterday! We left the house at 5:45 am and got home at 8:30 PM. booooo. I didn't even drink alcohol and feel like i have a dang hangover...my head is killing me.

Managed to finally get my garage cleaned & organized. Holy hell that was a project and a 1/2. If only I hadn't of put 1/2 the stuff into my house so now I have to reorganize my house. Oh well.... It's progress. :)
