What's your kid's fav new toy?

DD4 loves everything. Especially her new Barbie (her 1st one ever), her new dollhouse, and her Play Doh cake making thing. We also got her a sled, which she is really excited about, except that there's no snow. She also really likes her new clothes (can you tell she's a total girly girl, getting excited about new clothes for Christmas) and her clock radio. She's SO excited to have a radio in her room now...I'm reconsidering whether or not that was a good idea - did not realize the clock had a "sleep" feature.

Please be aware of all the warnings on the 3DS. There were warnings about younger children etc.... you should probably be in charge of the use of the 3D part. It can be switched off.

Thanks
I was a little worried but he does not like it and turned it off him self. I will keep an eye on it just in case he does start to like it. I mainly got it because it was the newest one and has newer games.

Not the best toy but the best bang for the buck is the Little Tikes bball set from Kohls for 3.99. The kids played with it while we watched the game last night. Dh got a Kindle Fire from his boss and he has not put it down since...

Is that the hip hop lovin' GS?

Yup...he's a hip hop/skater boy mix in looks...he didn't want to have much to do with any of the rest of us, as he thinks we're all a bunch of whtie bread hicks...but I got one up on him when I told him I went to high school with/and knew Fred Hampton (Black Panther leader murdered by the CPD/FBI in 1969). We were both in chorus...

DS4 has already made 3 lite brite pictures on his own... he said to me "I love my lite brite"... makes me smile because I remember all the fun I had with mine.

DS7 got all kinds of cool stuff (lego sets too!) but after the excitement of opening, it's not thrilling him anymore :surrender: It's going to be fun trying to keep him occupied for the rest of the break.

DS 7 says his favorite new toys are his Bey Blades (santa) and Bop It XT (grandma), but hands down his favorite gift is his new guinea pig (mom & dad). He's been asking for one for 2 years, but we didn't feel he was old enough for the responsibility until now.

DD 4 isn't here to ask, but I'd have to guess her mini unicorn pillow pet (mom & dad - she's obsessed with unicorns right now) and the vet kit (grandma). The vet kit came with a cat and dog to treat, but the unicorn has been treated as well.

In case anyone is still on the fence, I'll throw in another vote for snap circuits too. DS got a set for his birthday and loves it!

I love love love playmobile. Used to have a ton but sold them because kids didn't play with them that much. I think I might have gotten rid of them a bit early but we still have the advent Calender and nativity set!

My kids had a great Christmas thanks to family and friends. It was a super lean Christmas for us but they made out well--thank god! Ds2 loves his packer jersey and ds1 loves this fedora hat I got for him on clearance at target! Ds2 also got that snap circuit set so I'm excited to break it open today! Of course they are loving all of their Xbox games they got!

LEGOS LEGOS LEGOS!!!

DS9 has been building Legos since operation open presents ended. He got Lego Police station (that was the one present he really wanted!!! said if he got that he would stop opening presents and build it right away) Lego Fire Station and a Lego Police space ship. Other than that he is loving the Kinects!

DS3 got one of those animated toys. Alivin of the Chipmunks. You push the button and he sings the chipmunks christmas song. He asked santa for it =P Also loves a Einsteins bathtub toy I got for him on clearance last year at Kmart

Make sure it stays inside. Rumor has it they are not safe down in your neck of the woods.

I think Loopy just loves her funnel cake maker. We're gonna have to get more mix when Fiya comes to visit this weekend! I myself am enjoying my Karaoke machine......singing Baby got Back on Christmas morning may not have been proper, but it made me feel good!

DS4 is playing with his new Leapster Explorer games (Pixar Pals and Leap School Reading) and loves his Imaginext Batcave and Space Shuttle, as well as the Alex Tub Stickers City. DD14months also likes the Imaginext stuff. She likes her Rody horse, her My Pal Violet, and her Baby Stella. She also got some good bath toys she hasn't tried yet.

It was a very slim year for us, but the grandparents came through in style. My grandparents always send cash and are generally amazed with how much I end up putting under the tree from them. DD's money is going toward a trip the Shedd Aquarium before the jellyfish exhibit ends.

EVERYTHING Kinect. Video games... but at least he's jumping around getting a good workout! :9:

The circuits sound like something my ds would LOVE===does any store sell it besides ordering from discovery? If a local store has it--I might just go get it for him--he is really bright and I think would LOVE this--and his Dad would love to do it with him!! Either that or his older brothers--my ds birthday was in November--so I don't want to wait until next year--this ounds like something he would have fun doing when his friends came over (that and all the new traditional games he got---we played Uno Roboto last night--and he just laughed and laughed and laughed)

I spent Christmas day and yesterady pulling my 18 month old around the house in his new red wagon for literally an entire hour!! And then played Barbies with DD4 with her new barbie size dollhouse and limo. Then pulled the baby around in the wagon, played Barbies..you get the idea! LOL!!!

Yesterday I took DD with me shopping to Dominick's and they had the Hallmark Jingle dog on clearance, so now she is totally attached to that stuffed toy. So much so, she wants a "real jingle".:faint: uhmmm we have a cat..
