Remove rust with computer power supply!

I made a rust removal machine with an old 400watt atx power supply today. Here are some build pictures. Here is the part: I tried several different sizes of positive leads, and what I learned was.. BIGGER is better. Always attach the negative to the part and positive to the rod in the tank...

    I need an amp recommendation

I ended up buying the 2000watt CRUNCH GPV2000.1. It's 1000watt rms, 1 channel mono amp. It has 500watts at 4ohms and that is what my rockford fosgate p3's require. I also picked up a 1.5 farad XPRESS CA155XS Capacitor.

    Fixed my yellow/faded headlights

Your definitely going to need to use a drill than, if the haze is really bad I might even recommend going down to 600 grit paper. If the headlights are hazed on the inside, this method isn't going to do anything though. Make sure they aren't before you start.

The $50 Paint Job, Awesome thread

a 700 paint job is not fixing any dents, no color sanding and a single stage paint aka no clear coat. The 3500 estimate I got was for really high quality paint, with clear and buffing.

    Fixed my yellow/faded headlights

Just wetsand them with 800 then 1000 then 1500 grit in the same direction. Get a foam pad made from buffing and any auto parts store and use plastic buffing compound or rubbing compound with a drill on LOW speed.

The $50 Paint Job, Awesome thread

ya know, I've seen those laquer duplicolor cans at auto parts stores and I've wondered how easy to use they were. Seeing that video, makes me want to try it out and spray my trans am in the garage. My main question would be how is the durability of that paint? I just got a quote of $3500+ to...

The $50 Paint Job, Awesome thread

I don't know if you guys have seen anyone do it, but I keep finding these threads with guys using rustoleum paint to paint there cars. Honestly if I had a keep high mileage car, I'd consider doing it myself. They prep the body just like you normally would but instead of spraying the paint on...

    I need an amp recommendation

Nice, while a cap may smooth out the bass, the MAIN purpose of a cap is to keep the stereo from killing your battery. You need a cap if you have a low amp alternator with an audio system that is drawing alot of power. The cap stores power for when the system "hits" really hard and uses alot of...
