Wow, this guy Joshua sure had anger management issues. And, no, I've never read the bible, either part.
I'm sure straight men around the world are glad to hear that.
But do you have anything against gay people? Do you think they should all move to California?

Obviously I have some family that is gay-sure my MIL irks me but not cause she's gay!!!! Being raised that gay was unacceptable I was a bit "culture shocked" when I met my MIL-and her girlfriend. I had 2 little boys at the time and was unsure what to do, so to speak, as far as having my children around thier house and such.
After discussing it with my father this is what we concluded....It was more important to me that my children be raised around loving couples than worry about thier sexuality. I would rather my children be raised around 2 gay women who love each other deeply and show each other affection than to have them be raised around a male/female couple who abuse each other.
Of course my MIL is a whole other story (DRAMA FILLED) but my decision still remains the same!
So no I do not have a problem with someone being gay-I do however have issues with the big parade and "over the topness" ......reason being is I think they make a mockery of thier own sexuality but then fight with others to take them seriously! I think they in general make it worse on themselves and fellow gay peeps. I think you can be gay and not have to be the center of attention and always making a spectacle. I have respect for those who are gay and live thier lives like everyone else but they happen to be gay. The ones who feel the need to go all over the t.v.'s in drag/making sure they makeout and fondle each other when the cameras are on/guys who make it a point to wear vibrant colors and make a spectacle every time they are in public/the recent "kiss-in"...........I just think there are much better ways to get one's point across than making a huge spectacle because in general the same people who you want to take you seriously and listen to your POV and all will not even give a first thought to anything you say at that point.
At the same time if I saw a bunch of straight people jumping around and screaming on t.v.-STRAIGHT PRIDE-WOOT!, or a chick on thier screaming how much they like pipe, or the huge ridiculous PDAs just because they can get the attention, or a female flashing her breasts for all to see holding a sign saying these babies are for men only..............................I'd think these peeps would look just as silly and I wouldn't care what message they were trying to get across either!
ETA: when I said "they" in second to last paragraph talking about "thier" negative effects to themselves I was not referring to all gay people-I was referring to those who feel the need to make the huge spectacles!

Yes which is all in fun and joking, trying to make someone laugh, etc and that is one thing......however if we were having a deep discussion that you just needed for us to understand and accept you and you start screaming "I like pipe, I like pipe" I would definately not take you as seriously!
I think it's because they are a minority. Just like black people talking with non-blacks and keep saying "You don't understand because you're not black."
Tazz....you lost me! Because they are a minority they cannot hold rational conversations in which they present thier thoughts and opinions in intelligent ways???
Personally I think the people that I was talking about are more like the Jesse Jacksons of gay people. I've been to gay bars, drag shows (which are very fun BTW), I've been to plenty of BBQ's with gay people, worked with gay people.....IMO these radicals are simply not a good representation of the gay population.

being that I have been in homosexual relationships myself and I am bi-sexual by nature, though very happily monogomous with my hubby. he likes that he and I can oggle women together and he doesnt get in trouble! LOL
the bible was inspired by God. but the people who wrote it had FREE WILL . so while God might have inspired them to put pen to paper so to speak, they also had the free wil to add in thier own bigotry, homophobia, sexist, and repugnant beliefs too. Leviticus all by itself PROVES that point.
If you believe in God but can be open minded enough to really look at the world. If you believe that God created everything and all things. Then surely you also realize that animals in nature are exactly as God CREATED them to BE. My point is that many species like Swans, Grey wolves, and a few more often can be found to have life long homosexual partnerships amoungst them. Now these creatures do not have souls to SIN. they can ONLY be as God Himself deemed them to be. If God was SOOOO agaainst homosexuality, If it was such an abomination to Him. WHY THE HECK MAKE ANIMALS GAY!?! makes no sense if you really think about it.
on the other hand i think that for it to stop being sucha HUGE issue then really, stop MAKING IT ONE. IE gay pride parades where GOD FORBID anyone in the area of one has small children. the blatant displays of sexuality, the sometimes NON EXISTANT clothing and WORSE......really? how can someone respect you if you make yourself in to a JOKE and something other people dont want thier kids to see? I do believe that **** should have every right to have legal partnerships just like straight people have marriage. why should only straight people get the joy and fun of the misery of divorce?
I just think that people who are gay, bisexual straight i dont care need to stop SHOVING it in everyone's face. Just live your life. support what you support and dont be BLATANT about it.
