One halloween night when I was about 21 years old, my sister and I, our cousin and 2 friends went out for some late night trick or treating.
-yes, we were too old, but we got some candy anyway, and that is what matters :D
We were on the way home, and as my sisters car neared the main street of our neighborhood, we noticed 3 bright lights in the sky. They looked like airplanes, but they were too low in the sky. We talked over the possibilities as we got closer to home. The car turned onto another street, and we could see the position of the lights better. As we drove on, we saw the 3 lights move together and apart as if for a definite purpose. Something was going on.
Turning down another street, it seemed the lights were in the area we were headed for. Things were definitely getting creepy.
We could now see that the lights were to the right of our street, so we decided rather than turn left and go home, we would continue straight and investigate. I recall that as the car passed our street, the air seemed electrified. Like that static feeling you get when you take clothes from the dryer and realize you forgot to use a fabric softener sheet.
And you know how people say they were so frightened that their hair stood on end? Well, it really happens. And I never knew there was hair on the back of my neck. It too was sticking straight out and up.
My sister drove very slowly now, just barely creeping along toward the area where the lights were. Suddenly, the 3 lights stopped moving. Then they started coming toward our car- very fast! I don't know how she did it, but my sister turned that huge Monte Carlo around in a second and sped down the street and to our house. We were terrified! We stumbled into the house where dad was watching tv in his recliner. He was startled and then didnt know what to think when we all began telling him at once what we saw. He probably thought we'd been drinking or smoking pot.
I called the airport (who do you call to report a UFO?) all they had to say was "there have been no reports of anything unusual in that area." I replied "Well there has been now!" I guess the woman thought I was a goofball. It was halloween, after all. :ohboy:
This happened many years ago, and when my sister and I talk about it now, she says she sometimes wonders if she imagined it. I tell her we can't all have imagined the same thing.
I kind of wish we'd stayed there when the lights approached, just to see what was going on. :ut-oh:
Have you had any close encounters?
:ufo:

That is so cool. I'd like to think that if I saw those lights I'd stick around and wait for them to get closer or even land - but I know I'd run like crazy! :terror:

i think i would have hung around for a bit to investigate.

i've seen a lot of weird things in the sky but never any close encounters of the alien kind except for the BGH :D

I wanted to stay, but my sister said "No way!"
That was probably the right thing to do, but I'll always wonder what was happening there and what would have happened had we stayed and investigated further. If my brothers had been home that night, they would have gone right down there.

Something I left out of my original post -
the area the lights were hovering over was being prepared for new housing. The roads were unpaved with no street lights, and construction equipment and machinery were scattered about.

BGH?

Very interesting story Andromeda. Thank you for sharing that with us.

It's a good thing that you left the scene. For what if the space ship zapped you aboard their ship. Never to return you back to the people you love and cared about.

Granted it would of been one hell of an adventure.

What, that's it? :|
Nobody else here has had any UFO or alien related experience?
How disappointing.
I thought that with this being an alien-themed forum, there would be more interest and response.

Andromeda one of the reason's I am here on this site is that I believe. Yes I believe there are aliens and space ships.

When I was 5 years old..my mother and a group of friends seen something in the sky in the distance. Now I was there but ,if indeed this was a flying saucer, it was so far away that I don't remember if I really seen it or not.

What Rosey said just reminded me of something from my childhood - my Granddad told us one day that he'd seen a silver cigar shape flying in the sky! I remember being very unsure whether to believe him - he was a great prankster. I kept throwing him guesses of what it really was - a plane! a cloud! - hoping he'd give in if I guessed it right. But he stuck to his story and it seemed very believable. I still don't know whether he actually saw a UFO that day :ohboy:

I have another story that my mother told me. She told me that on a bright sunny day she saw a cigar shaped flying saucer heading towards the coast. Now what was strange about this flying saucer was its noise. My mother said that the noise was so loud that both me and my sister started screaming we were so scared.

Now I don't know if any of this part is true. She said that since it was low in the sky and heading towards the coast, it looked like it was going to crash.

Now the weird part about when she told us this story since I was only 4 years old at the time. I do remember the sunny warm day. I do rememeber hearing a frighting noise coming from the sky, I do remember crying and screaming. From my childhood memorys, that is all I remember.

side note here: *I grew up listening to loud noises since I lived right next door to the fire station. When they blow there siren at 12:00 every day or when they go out on emergencys that noise would make you jump out of your skin, when your a kid.
