So what's the minimum legal age to drinking?

Here it's 16 but this year, it will be raised to 18.

It's 21 here. I honestly think they should lower it to eighteen.
Eighteen year-olds aren't particularly responsible on the whole... but if you're old enough to join the military, you should be considered old enough to drink...

I think at 16 you can drink beer... but that would be it. at the age of 18, you should be able to drink everything because you're more self-conscious about it.

18 here in Ireland. Quite an ingrained part of our society and culture, unfortunately, and many start very young. I had my first taste of alcohol at 15.

21. It does need to be lowered to 18 IMO, but since I'm already over 21 I tend to forget how it is for the under 21 crowd. :p

21 here, I agree with Ringo on this though. Then again I have no desire to drink and probably never will.

18, but I have been drinking since 15/16 anyway. Underage drinking seems to be a normal thing here.

This.

IMO, because it's unlikely to be stopped, underage drinking between the age of 14-17 should be allowed if supervised and an adult assumes responsibility (considering this happens anyway ~_~).

Where do you live? Here you can drink at home whilst supervised by an adult from the age of 5 and 16 in a restaurant providing you are accompanied by an adult.

Eek. From the age of 5? I know it's not srs drinking but really it shouldn't be that low. ~_~
I was vaguely thinking that being supervised was legal but wasn't 100% sure.

18 here
I think it should stay that way. What's the point of it being the legal adult age if you're not allowed to consume alcohol? If you raised one you'd need to raise the other imo. I've drank alcohol before, I was probably 13/14 when I had it first but I've never actually "drank". Just tasted. I think that 18 is responsible enough and anyone who isn't responsible shouldn't prohibit the ones who know how to act their age.

Regardless of my stance on the drinking age, I can agree with this.
Been drunk once, just so people can't say "oh, you've never experienced it, you can't talk!" It wasn't terrible, but honestly wasn't something that I'll look to do again very soon. Maybe a little bit with friends on rare occasions, but... honestly, getting ****faced is really overrated. I value being able to judge my actions clearly in my head before doing them.

EDIT: Plus, most alcoholic drinks I've tried taste pretty gross.

The drinking age here is 21,
And while I can completely understand why people want it to stay that way, I think it should be lowered to 18. Either that, or they should raise the age of everything else to 21. Like, they should consider you to be a legal adult at 21 instead of 18. You should be able to join the military at 21, be able to smoke at 21. That kind of thing.
