Of course you can compete against other people. The competitor who catches the most fish wins. There are lots of fishing competitions all over the world. Fish 'O' Mania is a big competition in England, shown live on Sky Sports every year.

I love to go fishing once in a while...but I have never caught a fish. I hope that can change someday soon!
