In the UK, our pancakes look a little like this:

But people make them differently e.g some people roll them up and whatever.

Anyway, recently I made the American style ones (or at least what Google called American) and I found them soooo much better.

So, I was wondering:

1) How are pancakes typically made in your country?
2) What do you put on your pancakes or in them?
3) How often do you eat them?

I know some Americans have them for breakfast like all the time :omg: but that could be a movie stereotype.. :shifty:
But I'm British. I do them like in the picture and roll them up after putting lemon juice and sugar in them! :D: I mainly have them on Pancake day but I do have them occasionally as a dessert. :)

UK pancakes here :P
I don't like them.

Really? They're so nice :O

Yeah, and have them stacked up like 10 haha. Not sure if that's a stereotype either xD

I prefer them in the mornings :)

They're burnt.
On both sides.

Scottish pancakes are laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. But, I suppose you shouldn't expect much from a country that fries everything.

Hahaha I'm sure they're not that bad! :)

Our pancakes look a lot like the UK ones, but our are thicker and fluffier! Also, it's not a stereotype. Americans do eat a lot of pancakes for breakfast! I'm not too much of a fan. I like waffles better! I put butter and syrup on my pancakes, but I don't like them when they get soggy!

I made pancakes again this morning. #Addiction

Michael and I just made pancakes :3

UK pancakes here, though we make ours a bit thicker than they're meant to be.

Your waffles are so different too! :P

We don't do pancakes here...

Well, i don't know anyone though who makes pancakes like that. we do have a thing called crepe which is thinner and the ingredients are different i think.

We usually put nutella, sugal, honey or something else equally tasty.

We have crepes here! They're so amazing oeghiugnerughieurh.

I never knew that pancakes were different in different parts of the world. O_o Hmmm. Interesting.

Anyway, here is your regular American plate of pancakes:

Some people put fruit in them like blueberries and what not.. I do not eat as much as the ones in the picture.. lol

LionFace I didn't know either until I wondered why the girl on Matilda made hers so funny. I started making mine like the American Style ones you've put above but they come out a little less round and a lot less smooth :P Just my cooking skills.

I'm from South Africa we love pancakes, we love to put cinnamon and sugar on them and sometimes a nice filling!! My kids just love pancakes so we eat pankakes a few times a month!!!

YUMMMMMM now you made me hungry fo' 'em.
But yeah, we don't have pancakes here in Portugal. At least, it's rare eating these. But we do have waffles. At fairs, typically >.>

I love pancakes.
But I absolutely hate it when they are too thick and fluffy. I don't like thick and fluffy. That's how a lot of people think American pancakes are, and don't get me wrong, they are fluffy, but not like... two inches thick or anything! I'm sure they're really thick compared to the European pancakes, though! :P

I like them with lots of butter and syrup. Yum!
I could eat pancakes all day, so long as they're exactly to my liking.

Typical American pancakes.
Just kidding, no one eats pancakes like that here. I like to call pancakes flapjacks.

Most American pancakes are prepared from a "pancake mix" (i.e., Aunt Jemima). You will also want to serve butter and maple syrup with that.

I personally prefer crepes, though.
