How new/old is your car?

1968 Mustang......DH midlife crisis, paid cash
2002 Acura MDX leased through work then paid in full
2005 Acura TL paid cash

Hope the Acuras make it to 200K or 300K miles
We are big Honda fans here

If old Mustangs are a sign of midlife crisis my DH has been in midlife since before I met him. Or is it if you only have 1 it is midlife and more than 1 a addiction. DH has lots of old cars, yeah nothing like running all over the country to bring them home either, like Saturday night about 8 pm. dh says want to go to Milwaukee and pick up that 67 Galaxie??? Not really but I guess I can......

So, last week we were vehicle shopping. we looked at plenty. Test drove 1. Today, my husband brought home the test drive car :) While its used and a bit old, it was driven by a grandma. With the name of doris, to boot LOL

So now we have a 2000 lincoln continental :)

Nice! Congrats :cartwheel:

Dh drives a stick shift Saturn. I think it is a 1993. Not sure how many miles just know it is a lot. It was given to us a few years back by a friend. I drive a 1997 Dodge van. We bought it new and paid on it for 5 years. I don't know off hand how many miles it has on it, but it has so many problems. The air hasn't worked in years, but I always joke and say that's ok cause the heat doesn't work either. Dh used to be able to recharge the air but not anymore. The speedometer hasn't worked for a good 2 years so we got a GPS which shows the speed. The power steering is leaking and has to be refilled every few weeks. Some kind of hoses must be loose as the front passenger side gets a lot of air rushing in by the floor. It gets pretty cold over there in the winter. The front passenger door can be a little funny about closing so I have to be sure it really is closed. The running board by the driver's side broke with my foot stuck in it one day when I was getting in. It has a big crack and I'm always afraid it will trap my foot again when I get in. The big problem is there is something wrong with the rear end. We paid maybe $500-$700 awhile back hoping it was something more minor but it is not. Dh thinks it is something expensive. We are supposed to get our emmissions test but I know the check engine light is on right now and I guess that is not a good thing. It comes on every so often and then eventually goes off again. Hope it will go off before we have to have it tested. Dh would love a new vehicle or even a different used one. I know we cannot afford it and prefer to drive it into the ground. Chances are anyway that when you buy a used vehicle it will have problems too.

HS get a new gas cap and see if that makes the check engine light come off.

Don't go late on your emissions test, they will suspend your license plates, then your driver's license, then if you get pulled over, they will arrest you and take you to jail (ASK ME HOW I KNOW! my stoopid youth).

If you fail your test they will be able to tell you why and they will give you an extension.

2006 SRX almost paid for. Bought in 06 used w/6,000 miles, saved $20,000
2003 Dodge Ram Conversion van, for towing and traveling up north
1997 GMC 4x4 extended cab (DH) truck. He always has to have a truck for towing something. We always have boats, jet skis, etc.

Same thing was happening to my car, we got a new gas cap and it stopped.

1997 F-350 ... 180,000 - paid
2000 Honda Odyssey ... 140,000 - paid

Will never go back to car payments ever. Love the feeling that our cars will be in the driveway when we wake up EVERY SINGLE DAY!

We have a 2001 Accord- paid at time of purchase and a 2007 Odyssey- for this we paid most of it and have a little left. We got it in Jan and will pay it off in Sept.

1995 Saab 900S
1996 Dodge Grand Caravan

Own both... Looking to replace them as each is slowing dying. I don't even know what's it likes to drive a car without something being wrong with it anymore its been so **** long.
