How old are you? Are you a teen or adult?

I'm 32 and an adult yet I still go out and am single. I also like to think I'm young at heart still. I take care of my responsibilities, yet have fun at every turn.

What's your favorite thing to do as a single person? Go out to eat?

I'm 33 now. But the funny thing is that the big 30 didn't feel too weird to me. Instead, turning 31 felt strange because that was my mother's age when I was 4, which is the furthest back that I can remember.

These days, many people are looking younger than their age (thank goodness for hair color). The new age 50 is age 40.

My dad is 64, but he has very few wrinkles on his face and looks no older than 50.

^ I have noticed this too- my mom, who turns 56 next month, has no wrinkles and looks like she's still about 40-45. I'm 24 and pretty much look it- Strangers tend to think that we're sisters! That always makes mom feel good :) They're quite surprised when they find out that she's my mother and not my older sister.
Most recently, back in October, my mom, family friend, and I were at a restaurant having beers and watching my dad's band play one night. My mom was talking to this guy and telling him how she and the bass guitar player (my dad) are my parents. Turns out the guy thought that she was my sister instead, and was shocked to find out that she's actually my mom!

The big 40 was no big deal for my dad. Instead, the big 30 was for him. He knew he wasn't a kid anymore when he turned 30.

It's different for everyone, that's for sure.
