That they might be, now how would i go about that. or does anyone know where there are some really good tutorials, other then html goodies??

http://home.netscape.com/assist/net_sites/frames.html

What I would recommend you do is either find a page that is set up the way you want it, and view the source code to see how it was acheived, or use a program like FrontPage, Netscape Composer, or some other website creation program, layout the page the way you want it using the WYSIWYG tools, and check the source to see how it's done.

Noo! Frames are the evil spawn of the devil, and they create lots of hassle when submitting your sites to search engines, this is actually a very simple table ..

http://test.nescience.org/prox.htm

.. you should be able to figure out how to change the colors and sizes and stuff, its pretty self explanitory, and if ya need anymore help .. just ask!

Good luck with the site!

EDIT: While I was posting this Dan posted, Prox man, seriously .. do not use frames, they are a hassle for users who need to bookmark specific pages on the site and it causes hassle with placing your site in a search engine. Please ask me if you need any help with that template I gave ya! Just view the source to see how things are done and whatnot.

ps. <!--Anything in between this is a comment--> in html files, anything between <!-- and --> is a comment.

While frames can be a hassle, all of the symptoms you've described arise when people don't know how to implement them properly.

I can't tell you how many pages I've seen use frames that are absolutely horrendous, but I've also seen pages where they help bring the whole site together.

It all depends on who's designing the page.

Dan, I agree, but, tables combined with SSI can create pretty much the same effect as frames without as much hassle to search engines and bookmarks.

Thanks guys. I think i am gonna use the tables because I know i will mess up the frames.

here would be your basic coding for a table like that:

< table border="1" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" >

< tr >

< td align="left" valign="top" colspan="2" width="100%" >

Information for the top cell of the table (red one in your attachment)

</ td >
< /tr >

< tr >

< td align="left" valign="top" colspan="2" width="150" >

Information for the left cell of the table (blue one in your attachment)

</ td >

< td align="left" valign="top" colspan="2" width="100%" >

Information for the left cell of the table (green one in your attachment)

</ td >
</ tr >
</ table >

Now of course you are going to have to take out the spaces in the coding :) hehehe

If you need help from there..well this is the place to ask :) hehehe

Umm... I dont want to go into this really far and post tons of stuff so I will give you 2 suggestions.

1. You Should Use Frames (As Said Earlier)

2. You can get lots of help at helpfromtechs.com (Just post a topic, shouldn't take to long to get a reply.)
