What's new

Just need to vent...

Don't get me going on the bathroom thing. I have 4 boys and flushing the toilet is a big deal for them, forget hanging up the towels!
It's a good day here when DS10 doesn't pee on the seat and brings the towels to the bathroom instead of leaving them on the floor. My kids are looking pretty bad!

Classic convo with my son when he was 10
Me: "Will go finish your chores and then take a bath"
Will: "I finishd my chores"
Me: "Ok, go take a bath "
Will: "Why, what did I do?" (as if bathing is a punishment)

Fast forward and he is 2 months from 14 and we still have to FORCE him to bath more than 2 times a day. If we would never say anything, I think he would go for weeks. Just add deoderant and cologne over the funk and go about his day.
Wait until he's "in love". Then he'll need his own personal hot water tank for all the bathing & extra towel washing. My oldest son, also nearly 14, went from me explaining to him that wetting his hair under the faucet & dousing himself with cologne does not constitute taking a shower to being permanently pruned in a week's time!!

Mom got a good laugh out of it this weekend and reminded me that I used to whine about my brothers practically camping out in the bathroom. She asked my son the right question, he gave the answer she expected - all red faced & embarrassed, I might add - he's got a girlfriend. ****, how did I miss THAT?

I didn't remember that the reason we went from kids/parents bathrooms to female/male bathrooms was because my brothers got their first girlfriends and my parents were tired of the constant bickering back & forth about who was taking too long.

Now this thread is funny!

BTW, I have 2 boys (8 and almost 5) and some of these things have already happened and some I am sure are to come in the future!

Thanks for all the laughs! and warnings!

Are two of them mine? Puhleze!!! :surrender:

mama my oldest DS (10) hasn't showered for a couple days now.....it's always a fight and I'm sick of it. He WILL before bed tonight, but it will be another big deal and same thing with the towels.

I still run a bath for my 8 year old and wash his hair (he still very much acts like a little boy likes to play with toys in the tubby). Gets old though. :surrender:

Yep and that little part behind the seat is a yellow puddle too right? :surrender:

Yeah!! & I can't rip out the floor (the wood) anound the toilet!!!! I want to, cuz It stinks like pizz!!! :ranting:

I know and there ain't enought bleach in the world!!! :ranting:

ETA: Is it bad that my 8 year old DS still sits when he pees and I'm glad and have even asked the older one to do so? (he won't though) :hides:

I have 3 boys - 7, 5, and 2. Pray for me please!! All have adversions to Kleenex, they prefer their sleeves or better yet..me. My oldest also does not want to use TP, he'll only use it if I catch him. :surrender: At least they still like bath time, most of the time. :surrender:

Ewwww! Both of mine wad up HUGE, hard rolls of TP and have clogged the toilet many, MANY times. Included 3 times that I did not catch it until it overflowed, flooding my bathroom and ran through the floor to my basement and all over stock pile items......bye bye cereal! :surrender:

Laughing my f**king **** off is an understatement!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: I'm sorry for your loss!

I have a 3 and 1 year old. Both boys. The 3yr old has the WORST aim and insists on standing up. He wants us to install a "kernel" a urinal. Now the 1 year old will take off his diaper and say "potty", I sit with him for 20 minutes.. no go... he gets up walks over to the corner, door, closet, cabinet (get the picture?) pees all over the place and then says "ta da". I am going through a TON of hydrogen peroxide to clean up the pee pee smell. Try it, it works.

This happened many many times when we were staying at my parents house waiting for our house to be done. It got to the point were I had to look at the toilet before I would let me kids flush the toilet!! :surrender: I think my parents were happy to see us go!
When we finally got in our house, my DS flushed his underwear down the toilet the second day we were there!! :slap: I thought for sure we were going to be in trouble but it went down and never saw it again.

Oh, and I AM TIRED OF ALL MY BATHROOMS SMELLING LIKE A DIRTY URINAL!! Pick one bathroom!! :ranting: I have threatened all the males in my house that I will put a urinal in the garage and that will be the only place they will be allowed to pee!!

My 5 year old and my 2 year old have recently discovered that it's great fun to put TP in the toilet, still attached to the roll, and then flush. Talk about a clogged up toilet! Thankfully we have some pretty industrious toilets and we haven't flooded out...yet.

My youngest went to bed heart broken tonight in tears. He has video game account on the computer for various sites. One is a pay and 2 are free. Well, he went on tonight and "Joe Blow" (whatever the guy's screen name was) promised if my son gave him his screen name and password he would give him extra pieces to the game. Well, he is too **** trusting (and stubborn to not believe!) and gave the stranger his info. Sure as ****, his account got hacked and many of his items are missing. Nothing is what the person promised. They changed his password to boot. Nice job ****stick! Taking virtual items from a 10 year old on a free game site. Congrats!!

Should he have given out the password? no. Have we talked extensively about this exact thing? yep. Did he decide to go out and make his own decision and take his chances to get burned? mm hmm
Some may say he got what he deserves (because he didn't follow instructions, warnings ect), and to an extent, that is true. Doesn't make it hurt any less to see him upset though. So technically he lost nothing (physically) except hours he has spent playing this game. Just hurts t see him so **** upset and to know that someone took advantage of him.

Could tomorrow be a boring day, PLEASE?!?!
