I'm just a boy, and she's just a girl, can I make this any more obvious....

No avoiding the song references...

I like this girl, her name is Tyne, we were a couple a few years ago, and she broke up with me, for reasons unknown to me to this day....

BUT! As I said... I like her again... 'nd when I say like, I mean infatuated... I mean I think she is THE ONE!!!!!

Any advice on how I could maybe ask her out without rejection from step one? Because we are friends, so I fear the devil of a friendzone :/

How is your relationship with Tyne at the moment? Do you talk regularly/hang out?
 
Don't come on to her as strong as you are writing this thread. She will find it creepy and you will scare her off. Gonna need more details on your relationship, history etc. before I go on.
 
i kinda agree with Rebecca here.. i mean, you could try but it could eventually be a bigger disaster than it was the first time . but this time she wouldnt talk to you..

and , above all, you dont even know why she broke up the first time. so, have you ever consider she might not like you (lpve you) for who you are or for soemthing you did?
that's an important matter that you need to sort out before you "re-apply" to be her bf
 
You don't actually expect anyone here to come up with a way to ask this girl out that will be foolproof, do you? There is always a chance you will be rejected, no matter what "magic words" you use. That's always a risk. LIFE is a risk. If you want to get with her again, just take your best shot, be honest, tell her how you feel, show her you want to try things out again, and just take the shot. What's the worst that could happen? Rejection, of course. But if you don't try, you'll never know.
Regret the things you do, not the things you WISH you'd done. If you never fail, you will never appreciate your successes!
My ol' man and I went back and forth for about 2 years. We finally got to a point where we knew we belonged with each other and now we have a great life together. A nice home, we're financially comfortable and we are both really happy. If I hadn't taken the chance again, I wouldn't be nearly as happy as I am now.

But yeah, me and Tyne go to the same college, basically see each other everyday, close friends, etc.

As for why she broke up, as I said, I don't know her exact reasons, but my guess is that we were moving fast. It was her first relationship, and I think she just wanted to go slowly :P (my guess is as good as anyone elses though)

And as for coming on as strong as I did on here... I know that wouldn't work :P
 
Why do you "know" that won't work? You don't know why she broke up with you in the first place; seems to me maybe you don't know her as well as you should. Hell, I'd even suggest admitting to her that you are trying to find the exact perfect thing to say to let her know you want to give it a go again; that it's so important to you, that you don't want to say the wrong thing, but you want her to see how much she means to you. In my 42 years, I've found that just plain old honesty is the best way to go. If you're that determined, you will make it work. Women appreciate honesty, especially if it's paired with a little vulnerability.
 
I don't know 100% of course, but I know her better than I know myself, and that is true. And although she wants a guy to be the independent one, strong, manly macho man. I know that she is only saying that, because she wouldn't allow it. She is the bossy one, it's her way etc etc... Which is fine (because she's always right... it's freaky but true). But she also wouldn't want to have the whole "your the one I want to spend the rest of my life with" thing dumped onto her before we're even dating, because she wouldn't know how to handle it (last time she didn't know how to handle something there was blood... not anyone elses, because she is clumsy, but still... :P)

Or she wants someone to challenge her bossiness?

But yeah, exes are a rough territory... obviously there was something there once. How old were you? How long were you together for?
