saw this on the kens5 news broadcast this morning.. lemme fill you in. castroville is a small town with a population of about 1500. the most they have ever had for murders in 15 years are intoxicated manslaughter and 2 or 3 bar fights gone bad, and even those deaths were accidental (for the most part).
yeah, some disgruntled boyfriend got dumped, killed his 22y/o gf, 40something y/o gf's mom, 7y/o gf's brother, and himself (27y/o). the step father of the gf is listed in critical condition, and probably wont make it, and the gf's sister is listed in stable condition.
3 bashes here.
1) i hate it when the local news stations. no **** that. the national news takes a look at a tragedy and says "ooo got to get to this first, this screams "promotion at the work place.. or raise in pay!" for the love of god, start acting like its a tragedy instead of a pay raise. reporters are all over it like white on rice; its rediculous.
2) the american public loves a tragedy. are we so insecure with our lives that we recieve pleasure in knowing other people's follies? are we so numb to violence, that when a guy kills 4 and injures two, the news casters say.. im sure people at home are wondering, did the boyfriend break in or was he let in naturally.. thanks bob! W.T.F. and i am totally guilty of this too. i hear about a guy who gets the **** beat out of him by chips, and hear about how he got his naughty bits ripped off.. and his eye is gone; i cant help but lmfao. those chimps showed him! like i said.. totally guilty. i hate it though how we take pleasure in other people's misfortune.
3) this relates back to me being guilty. if you are going to go in and kill 5 people and yourself with a pump action shotgun, cant you at least finish the job? i mean, come on.. they were probably sleeping or lounging around anyway.
yeah, i know: im going to burn in hell. :eusa_wall
