haha, oh my god, I cannot believe the government is going to ALLOW drug dealers/fraudsters etc onto the streets early...

How RIDICULOUS! i've never heard something so ****ing stupid in all my life. They should have seen this coming and done something about it, not only to save their own skins but to help the system itself oh and not to mention keeping the public SAFE.

whoopie, just goes to show that I can just happily deal drugs to kids go behind bars and go ''oh its alright it won't be too long they'l release me because there's not enough space''.

Car or traffic violations are very common, it can happen to anyone, really.

If punishments become any more draconic in Cali, you'll go to jail for a parking violation.

Thank god the jails are so overcrowded that prisoners don't have to serve their full time.

And you come off making it sound like she's better off than anyone else. She's not and she broke the law, and was sentenced accordingly. She should be in general population with all the same risks everyone else there faces.

Well, does it make any difference if she had it a little more comfortable?

What counts is what the individual perceives their punishment as. To Paris, her imprisonment was probably much worse than for a regular offender, because she enjoyed a little more freedom.

And yeah, I've read all about it: She has her cell phone, while others don't. She gets 30 minutes of visit time twice a week like everyone else. She's being medically cared for, like most, if not all, of the other inmates (although there are rumors that many weren't treated just as good), and she reads fan mail that is censored like everyone else's. So, not much difference there, is it.

Plus, she's a businessperson. I bet all the other businesspeople get to keep their cell phone as well. Lots of unemployed people because their boss is in prison is far worse than a ****ing cell phone.

I certainly don't mind special treatment for people like Paris Hilton. Do they really need to get all the harassment and fights? Think about that the next time you apply for a job position.

Mind you, I'm perhaps one of the biggest opponents of capitalism there is, but we certainly don't need another USSR.

Please also try to keep arguments in a separate thread in the vent/complain or debate forum, this is pretty off-topic now..

lobo: While we certainly do appreciate your membership, I have to say that using a translator of some sort on your end really does hurt your arguments. Much of what you say in these political-type threads is barely understandable, but I certainly do try to figure it out. No offense intended whatsoever. :)
