I LOVE garlic! I remember eating so much garlic from oh, idk, maybe a 40 clove chicken dish one time, the scent was coming out through my pores the next day..... glad you guys didn't know me back then
It's not that I don't like garlic, but when it's so strong that my eyes are nearly tearing up, I think maybe they used a bit too much. (I think our ventilation system is odd - they put the exhaust fan on in the kitchen and all it seems to do is spread the stink all throughout the office.):surrender:
I work with an extremely nice middle eastern gentleman. Everyday he brings lunch from home and everyday he stinks up the office when eats it. We work in a medical office. A TINY little office comprised of 4 rooms and a staff of 3 people.
The look on our patients faces when they walk in to that smell is unbelievable! The wrinkled noses, etc..
I can't heat up my food in the microwave because the smellof his food has permantly penetrated our microwave and anything that is heated up in it will surely come out smelling like his food!
At 5 months pregnant his food has literally been making me sick as of lately...
pet peeve...stinky food in the office!
Wow....that's a tricky one. I worked with Indian folks for years (at two different jobs) and was put in a couple tough situations. Once when my job was to find clerical jobs for people I had a the perfect job for a woman, but the client told me she smelled too strongly when she took her jacket off. She had recently arrived from India and as well qualified for the job as she was, I had to be frank with her and explain about how we use deo and how certain foods eaten daily can make a person have that general odor which is offensive to many Americans. She was extremely grateful for the information and commented on how visibly tough it was for me to have to tell her this and promissed she would make some changes. She got the job and it all worked out.
In your case maybe you could appeal to him as a sensitive pregnant woman and request that he bring items like a sandwich or things that don't have a strong smell. Being it's an environment where there's clients coming in I would think your request is perfectly reasonable (even if you have to take it to higher ups).
what?
Yell child's name.. no response... Yell child's name.. no response.. forget it, I'll just toss it out instead because they obviously didn't want this item. 5 minutes later "mom, did you call me?" No, I was testing names to see who knew theirs... FAIL!
In a store, "can I get abc, No. Why? BNecause I came for 3 items and that isn't one. Can I please get... No... why.. because I have a daily magic number of no's I give out. Until I say it enough times, the answer will always be no! This was great until the question.. do you always tell dad no? LOL

I am definitely going to have to ask her for this technique...
