Would have been easier!!!! We were sent to quack doc who refused to even touch her! X-rays and medical records were not enough, quack dr states in report "mom says child is missing left lung-I have no proof", then diagnoses her with hypoplastic left lung (layman's term-missing lung!!). Dr was a quack. I eventually tied up thier fax machine for about 4 hours sending medical records, therapy sheets, etc and they called the next morning approving her!!!! It was hell but I am thankful she was approved!
 
Patients that do not know their medical history, I work in the medical field and before we can see a patient we ask a series of screening questions. We need to ensure that the patient is safe to go in the room with our machine...one of the questions we ask is, do you have any implants anywhere in the body? the patients answer 9/10 times is yes, but I don't know what it is....personally, if anyone is implanting ANYTHING in my body I would sure as hell want to know what it is...the i don't know answer is inevitably followed by, I had it done in (insert random state or better country name here) somewhere...My patients seem to never know what they had done, where, or when. WHY? I totally understand it when its an elderly patient but if you are 40 something and you are telling me you had brain surgery somewhere in chicago, maybe loyola 10 years ago and you are fairly certain something was implanted but you dont know what because noone ever asked... I am going to give you THE LOOK...the YOUR AN IDIOT LOOK.

I guess you can't let the magnets just rip them apart, eh? It would give them an incentive to find out before they did it again. :lol:

In all seriousness you need to know your history, especially if it's extensive or ANYTHING has been implanted....WTH is wrong with people???!!!! WOW!!!!

I covered......but was more lax at home unless someone was over. My sis used what looked like a cape they use when cutting your hair and you didn't even notice what she was doing.........huge hoodies work well too :giggles:
 
It's a mom from work, we've repeatedly offered her a blanket to cover with but she says she's "just fine" and whips it ALL OUT!

As a mom who breastfed I think that's kind of rude. I get it's natural and all but if it obviously makes others uncomfortable.......I would have covered, just me though!
 
I know several moms who "practiced" covering up to being so smooth no one really noticed.

One more "benefit" of my job is meeting lots of parents :lol:
 
I can't stand it when idiots, usually of the male and immature variety, casually use the word "rape" when they believe they overpaid for an item or got a speeding ticket when they were speeding. It absolutely infuriates me. How dare those a-holes.

Ouch. Either you have been or you know someone who has been. I know someone who has been. We were in high school at the time and this girl was very pretty but there was always something odd about her. She would be nice then say something jabbing. It never made sense. Then if you got close and brushed up against her or any kind of physical contact she would recoil.

One time we were talking and laughing when I touched her shoulder out of habit. She recoiled and gave me a worried stare. I remember telling her staring into her eyes "Not everyone is out to get you." I said it kind of angrily (I was young). She seemed to snap out it, and then said to me "I know I just always..." I left it at that. I always felt maybe I should have not said what I said so harsh. I always think about her and what she might have gone through. Such a sad situation. To this day I wonder if she is still like that.

When I tell DH that there is some problem, like the washer won't spin...and he says "What do you mean, the washer won't spin?" Am I speaking Polish or something?

DH does that all the time. I was like, helloooo, I just told you in English!!!!
