I just pulled back the blinds in the living room--the windows on the north side of our place are entirely iced over. Given that they are about 10 feet tall and run the entire length of the living room and dining room it's very striking--and a little disturbing--looking.

feeling a little lonely right now, dh isn't home yet, dd #1 went to Platos closet with a friend and #2 is upstairs face timing with her friends.

Get it before Thursday, there is another storm expected Friday. It is wicked cold here.

My mom always says "alot." So tonight, after seeing it for the millionth time in an email, I sent her the link to the Alot story. Her response? Oh. Now I know why my spell check always highlights alot.

you (and Lauri) made me happier tonight. The amount I am smiling because I know there are fewer alots in the world is, well, a little ridiculous.
 
Super jealous of my little sis right now. She's a freshman in college in DC (and a total political junkie already), and she got to go to the inauguration this morning, even had a decent ticket. And tonight she's at the official inaugural ball. She just posted a pic of the Obamas on stage at the ball.

Even if you wish he wasn't president, it's still an awesome opportunity to see this stuff.

it's so cold the DOG doesn't even want to go outside! I have two pairs of socks on and I'm still cold!
 
So it's 70 in Los Angeles and the wind chill in Chicago is -14. Hmmm should I stay in LA next year?
