Thanks everyone...but to clarify even more he ALWAYS remembers to give the grandkids a gift so DH felt like it was a particular snub this yr. despite the fact that DH is the only one who stops by to visit on any kind of frequent basis..sad. We believe it is the influence of his EVIL female roommate...she always has him doing stuff for her and telling him NOT to do stuff for his kids/grandkids...I've washed my hands of them but DH CANNOT let it go. I'm sad for him.

We saw the doctor for ds8 tonight and will be going wheat and dairy free with him for awhile. He also has some homeopathic drops for his thyroid. We will see him again in 2 weeks, and in the meantime we will be keeping a food dairy for him. He had nutrition response testing tonight and I believe it is pulsed electromagnetic therapy that he will be receiving in the future. I'm not sure if it will be in 2 weeks or if it will take longer before he can get it. We stopped by Trader Joe's in Orland on the way home and got some almond milk. It's not bad at all.

I just took an awesome nap. I feel like a slacker, but DD has 3 overnight games again tonight. Last weekend I didn't nap & was trashed getting home at 4am.

And we're still here! Ugh!! Last night was rough. She started throwing up, running a fever. They had to draw blood, she got so restless her iv started leaking...it was definite rough. She still has the fever today, still having some abnormal rhythms. Good news is echo looked great and showed no signs of fluid. Dr thinks she caught a little bug. He started her on a loading dose of a med that she's had before and responded to well. She will have 3 large doses of that today. If it brings her heart rate down, and the fever is gone, we could possibly go home tomorrow. If it doesn't work, we will be here a few more days as they try different meds and doses. Pray that we are out of here soon!! Thanks everyone!

Nothing like getting scared ****less when that car went into the stands @ Daytona & you know one of your kids is there...his wife called and they are fine, but the young driver from Iowa has been airlifted to a hospital...

Oh man! :pout: I hope you get out of there soon. You know what they say, stay in a hospital long enough and you'll get sick.

I'll continue to pray for her. :)

oooohhhhh....it's going to be one of those nights. Sigh...I think the dog and I will stay in the bedroom for the rest of the night with the door closed :hides:

I hate feeding children. None of them like the same things.....

I only have one child but always have other children here for playdates and sleepovers.

Tonight one of the three kids here threw out her lunch (chicken nuggets) and then threw out her dinner (cheeseburger.)

Hell, I thought I did good preparing their ****. Next time it is cabbage casserole for everyone!

Oh man, I went sledding with my kids for almost 2 hours today. I don't work out very often so I'm probably in terrible shape. I know I am going to be hurting tomorrow with all the uphill climbing I did today. In fact, I'm already feeling it a little in my legs now. Not going to be a fun couple of days! Feel the burn!

Ann, I will continue to pray for DD and for you as well. HUGS!

I HATE when I am watching someone's kids and they do this. I find it to be so rude and wasteful, it really baffles me.

Who throws away food like that? If nothing else, tell me you don't want it BEFORE I give to you.

Don't you know about all the starving kids in (name impoverished place).

I have tried to teach my kids to try stuff and I pray they would not offend someone like this.

My friend's daughter does that. She has picked at every meal I have ever given her. Usually if her mom's here I let her dish up the girl's plate. She just turned 5. She still doesn't each much of what is offered. She's not a thin child so who knows what she eats.

They also throw away leftovers. Drives me crazy every time we have dinner at their house to see perfectly good food thrown out.

So I got home at 3:30am, fell asleep after 4am, woke up at 7:45am to get DS6 ready to leave at 8:15am for his 9:30am therapy appointment that is 1+ hour away from home. (Can you tell where this is going? I'm tired, and not in the mood.) His therapist also doesn't think he needs add meds. I seriously have very little patience for this today. She wants to talk to his teacher about it. FINE! Talk to her. Her version will be the same as mine since I emailed his therapist EXACTLY what the teacher told me the other day.

I agreed to therapy up north thru the middle of January. It is out of the kindness of my heart that I still bring him here while we wait for his spot at the new place to open up. I'll be talking to his caseworker this week about the Plan B we agreed to: interim therapist that comes to our house until his new therapist is available. I didnt want him to have a middle guy, but this is getting ridiculous.
