I'm busy tearing apart my closet still. :surrender: I'm finding there aren't many places to put stuff in the meantime. It was full of our clothing (obviously) and stuff we use often enough not to really want to put it in the attic. Missing a basement these days! It's pretty much cleared out, but now the rest of the house is a disaster. I'm storing stuff in my stepdaughters' bedroom for now, but that's only good until tomorrow when DD18 comes home for the weekend & will need a pace to stay. I cannot wait until my attic is done! It's going to help a ton.

You will so happy once your attic is done and you have more room, are you getting close to finishing or did you just start?

I can't imagine not having a basement, ours is unfinished and the perfect place to store things, DH made sturdy shelfs for me last year, but now I need another set made.

This place is very quiet today. Is everybody busy organizing their kitchens?

Um no. I went to Michaels and Jo Anne fabrics looking for something to use my coupons on, but left both stores empty handed. Pretty much everything I was interested in was already on some kind of sale so I couldn't use my coupons on those items. I wonder what peeps use their coupons on in those stores.

:surrender: Right now everything takes me 4x as long as it used to. And I kind of suspect that's not going to change once the babe arrives..... the only difference could be I may be able to put socks on again without a struggle.

4 more days and I can un-cross my legs (I reallllly don't want her born on the 19th). Help by pulling for me to keep her incubated that long!! Sheer will can do it, I'm certain!!!

I pretty much knew you weren't working in the kitchen. I was thinking more of naptime for you. :giggles:

KG if you are content with having a baby strapped on you and not scared, having an infant is not too big of a bother if you want to do your normal activities. I was never pg but I didn't feel like I couldn't do anything when nephew was an infant. I had an (actually pretty restricting) papoose-type rig for him. Strap n go.

Pulling for you. If you want to have her now, just go get some Taco Bell.

:)

taco bell doesn't do it. :( nothing does it. even my induction with DD5 didn't do it.

i have some stubborn kids.

i was not organizing my kitchen - i did living room and kids rooms. thank god that's done!

So sad for my good friend(whose baby shower I just went to over the weekend). Her dad just died unexpectedly....so sad that he will NEVER get to see his grandchild...too bad she lives so far or I would try to come to the wake but it is when I'm supposed to be working....perhaps I will try to drop a meal by her home on the weekend...I'm going that way anyhow to see my parents.

Thanks!! I do have a Moby Wrap and hoping I can get some stuff done with her in that. But NONONO Taco Bell! I would rather have problems putting my socks on forever.

oddly enough, this came up searching for Taco Bell lolcats:

Nephew and I hiked all over the Kettle Moraine forest when he was 3 months old :snicker:

And we went all over the City, etc. I took him everywhere. I think that's what made him a well-behaved quiet kid. He was never restricted from anywhere, and he is afraid of doing NOTHING now :)

MMmmm thinking about His Babyness has made me all smoopy :)

I don't wish this stomach bug on anyone. 7 out of 8 of us got it. DH hasn't, yet. The puking has stopped but some have moved onto lower end issues. I just want it all gone and done with.

Am I the only one who was to big of a fraidy cat to use the snuggly when their kids were babies? I was terrified that the thing would break and down would go baby. Yes, I'm a paranoid freak :)

Honestly I think sometimes it was easier for me because I did not actually produce these children. I don't think I have those same scary mom feelings. Not exactly. I have worries, etc but so far as physical well being, I never was very disturbed by much.

I never explain this well.

I didn't use the sling kind, but I did use a carrier that strapped to the front but briefly..........DS grew too fast.

I've got the flu, but a suppodely mild version.
Still feels like hell. Too late for Tamiflu. If it stays out of my lungs & me out of the ED I'll be happy.

Trash & recycle pickup will have to wait for the next one & 2 weeks, took all of my energy just to move my car to the end of the driveway for tomorrow's snowstorm.
