Must be something in the air, Clars. DS6 asked me if we could "get" a baby brother yesterday. Um, no. One pants ****ter is enough for me.

She is obsessed with babies. Last night she wrapped a little stuffed lamb in her shirt and was rocking saying, there there baby, go to sleep. She is really sweet, then she melts down because I won't let her have candy and screams in my face and I remember why I don't want any more kids.

Was she the kid who locked the dad in the basement? If so, it's probably a good idea to stick to the 1:1 parent/kid ratio, more of a man-on-man defense. :giggles:

They just took Kaitlyn in. Surgery will start in about 30 min. Should last 3-6 hours. I will update when I know anything. Please pray for her.

That's my girl, future criminal mastermind. We can't afford to test out a zone defense with her around. man-on-man is the only way.

I worked last night and was quite happy when I was out the door by 12:10. With changing dept's I am lucky to walk out by 12:30. Figured yay, I'll be home a bit early, go to bed 1/2 an hour earlier.... yea, I tried. That did NOT happen. I did go to bed 1/2 an hour earlier and my brain would not shut the hell up! I was unaware of how much dust is on my ceiling at 1 am... was reminded again by 2 am... ya know, I found at 2:30 I have cobwebs growing in the corners of my bedroom. Just after 3:15 I finally fell asleep and was up by 6:30. It will be one long **** night as I work again tonight....

Hoping it will be busy and time F-L-I-E-S!

Mom called to let me know that my favorite uncle, the dh of my fav aunt [mom's sis], passed away in the middle of the night at 89. At least it was peaceful and he was surrounded by family [my aunt & one of their DDs & son-in-law] :cry1:

We knew it was coming, he's been ill for a while. I'm grateful that his other DD, was here over the weekend from VA to see him. She flew home yesterday after her cousin's funeral & is on her way back up here now.

My uncle was a fantastic guy. Kind, generous, loving. He lived a full & wonderful life. I'm going to miss him terribly. :cry1:

He's also the first one of my aunts or uncles to pass. It's too close, reminds me that time is fleeting for them and my mom & dad. :cry1:

Praying I don't lose any more family this year.

I will hug my newest DD on March 14th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay!!! :cartwheel:

I'm sorry ennui.............you're off to a rough start this year. :pout:

Yup, 2013 sucks.

Today was to be a happy day. Feb 19 is both my parents' anniversary & my niece's 20th birthday. Mom always says that the very best anniversary gift she & dad ever received was the birth of bro's younger DD.

I am so sorry for your loss, ennui!

Back from WIU what a pita drive lastnight. We go into a pub for dinner after walking around campus in the pouring rain and come out 45 minutes later and there is almost an inch of snow. Apparently they don't plow or drop salt out there in God's country so it was a very slow white knuckle drive. On the upside, out of the 5 percussionists that auditioned my dd was the only one who had the professors walk her out to meet us. They told us she is admitted and her $$ scholarship will be in the mail by mid March. Her piano audition went just as well, but we didn't get any feedback. They did take an extensive history on her experience and made her sight read several pieces. She said they seemed very pleased. I loved the campus and am getting over the distance. They have awesome transportation and Amtrack and bus to Chicago is $20 and like 3 hour ride. I can live with it.

Did I miss anything here?
