What's new

so what are you thinking right now?

Thanks, yep, saw it on Pinterest.

I asked DH this morning how he was feeling. He responds, "Fine, except if I move to quickly, or bounce or jump or go up/down the stairs." Yep, that sounds fine to me. MEN!

He's working from home today so I've already sent him two texts "Did you call the dr. yet???" But I think he's ignoring me.

Thanks for asking though and I will keep you posted.

He's taking Rebecca's advice.

I emailed him: Are you Catholic today?

His response: Up until noon I was so no, not today.

Fail!

LMAO!!!

He was raised Catholic, but joined the Lutheran church several years ago but still every lent he (usually) won't eat meat on Fridays. I guess he forgot this year. :9:

Cause you didn't remind him early enough. :slap:

It's hard the first few Fridays to remember. About halfway through Lent it becomes habit.

DS and I just watched Puss in Boots and it was very good. Thumbs Up if you are going out to rent a movie.

getting ready for chili cookoff..cooked chili bought bowls spoons napkins cheese sour cream but still forgot the dam beer
...gotta go back to store tomorow

I'd love to take credit for the play kitchen but that was valerie :-) (easy to confuse cause we both gots lots of kiddos, lol)
I've developed my creative gene as i got older, now i'm a sewer, cake decorator and party planner!

Oops - sorry Valerie. It is the cute baby avatars that got me confused.

What's the reasoning behind this? Seems like it would take me far longer to hem something by hand, but WTF do I know. The little I know I've gathered from trial-and-error (mostly error :hah:)

Yes, it does take longer, but you get a better finish. In most cases, not always, there is a difference in the circumference of the pant leg between where you cut and where you sew. It is more difficult to get a really good match between the sizes when machine sewing than hand sewing.

Must add this to my shopping list. (where the hell would I find this?)

It's great stuff, if you use it be careful not to put the item in the dryer on high too many times. It will eventually get "soft" and start to peel off. I had a pair of pants that I hemmed with it as a "quick fix" and it worked so well I ended up never needing to actually hem them :giggles:.

Judy Baar Topinka just made my day.

$3K in back child support check came today out of the blue. (It comes from state treasurer's office)

That's more than I've gotten in the last 5+ years combined.

I have been worried about how to pay for driver's ed, car insurance for teen boy (he's going to pay half from working/saving) and a summer school class that he wants to take to get ahead for next year....

(insert audible sigh of relief)
