What's new

so what are you thinking right now?

Just wanted to say those names are so cute Weebols & Wobbles! :giggles:

Years ago we were visiting in laws in Arkansas and they had these 2 funny kittens up at the barn. A nasty local kid had dunked them into a bucket of water and they had long term brain damage. Neither could walk a straight line and Wobbles walks like he's drunk all the time. Can't use a litter box but does go on newspapers next to box. He's funny to watch with the other animals. Weeblos could use the box and did a great job helping groom Wobbles.

Living in the barn and so close to the woods we knew it was a matter of time until a bear or something ate them as a snack so we brought them home with us. (long, noisy 12 hour drive!) The vet said there was nothing they could do and suggested we put them down because of their issues. DH and I agreed to give them the best home we can for as long as we can. Vet said Wed. Weebols had pneumonia and a heart issue. We medicated the pneumonia but it was too much stress on his heart. DH was with him today and said it was very peaceful.

That's the story of Weebols and Wobbles. My other animals seem to know he's gone. 6 months ago we had 6 cats...now there are four. :pout:

Lauri from one animal lover to another, thank you for giving those kittehs the time and hom and love that you gave them. :flowers:

:huggy: I'm so sorry Lauri. I think the names are adorable and :flowers: for you for taking Weebles and Wobbles in and giving them a great home!

I"m glad I got to go out this weekend...my bday isn't until Fri. but glad I got to go see a movie and have a meal at applebee's nice to go do something regardless of how broke you are!

thank goodness for family and friends. DH, DD1, DD2, and I are recuperAting from pneumonia and our friends and fam have dropped off casseroles and food so I don't have to cook as much. They have made pharmacy and grocery store runs for us...the minute dh and I step foot outside the cold air sends us into coughing fits so we were very thankful for our friends.

After 7 days on antibiotics and still running high fevers dh had to go back to the doctor. They have given him a different antibiotic. This is only my 4th day antibiotics and I still had a slight fever this am.
Despite it all, I am feeling very blessed right now. My family and friends are great!

I forgot to mention my brother who took in my 13 year old until we get better, we are contagious and would prefer she doesn't get sick also. She's the only one not sick.

Did I mention everyone leaves our medicine or food on the porch?
